Wow!!! MattC never posted the pics of me running over a dead deer in the road. I had blood and feces all over the place.

Holy S***

Glad you're OK. That must have been some ride for the deer. [John Madden]"It's up and it's good!!"

Wow...at 70mph I thought the damage would be more extensive. Doesn't look too bad.

exactly my thoughts when i got out of the car. i was cruising on a 65 MPH road and i dont think i had a chance to hit the breaks before i hit the deer so my best guess was that i hit her at about 70.

I hit a deer once

with my lifted 97 Jeep Wrangler. His horns went through my hood and I ran the rest of him over. He crawled to the side of the road and just sat there. The cop ended up having to shoot him in the head, twice. Poor deer.

Kind of like the signs you see in Maine "Brake for Moose it could saev your life" then under some people have tagged "Or dont brake for moose and fill the freezer"

Man! Now you've got me a little nervous Newman; I just got my Max last month and there are loads of deer in my neighborhood.

I'm glad you're OK bro.

I too hit a deer at 65 MPH or so.

My mom's 98 camry v6. $8000 damage. Most expensive part to replace: cruise control actuator $1000. 2nd most: AC condensor $700.

Its a horrible feeling when you see it, you jam on the brakes, and then in a split second you can see the hood of the car in your face. My air bags did not deploy though.

I almost hit a deer once.

Driving my 91 Escort at about 55, country road, wet, three deer ran in front of my car & one froze. Slammed brakes. Stopped a couple of feet from the deer. THEN, it moved

I was glad I didn't hit a deer (college, liability, couldn't afford the repair) but I suppose in some twisted way, I ended up hitting a possum 5 minutes after the near-deer hit and it got stuck to my bumper for 20 miles ... when I stopped in front of my driveway, the possum decided to dislodge itself from my bumper and 'peeled' off

Why didn't it fall off at the 10 stops I made before I made it home?
