can fiberglass be used in the engine bay???
is it possible to use fiberglass in the engine bay without it melting??? the reason i ask is because i'm going to try and make an intake incorporating all the ideas i've learned in the past couple of days from here.

i might go with some carbon fiber, and a little resin as possible. therefore the strength will come from the CF, and the resin will be minimal.
It can be used...I did it to make a battry/engine cover. The problem isn't the glass it's the paint. But to make an intake out of fiberglass soley...i don't think so...C.F. has been used to make intakes in conjuction with some other stuff but I forget what the other stuff is.
