was ****ed when leaving work tonight i decided to do burnout...i did it right after i started the car...my tires lit up...then i accl. up to 60 and shut it down(in small parking lot) i came to a light and my car seemed like it was being held back like something wasnt catching... well i kept driving and jumped on 295 and a gti pulls up nexto to me....i was ok then i went to gun it and it bearly moved and only went up to 80 at 4000 rpms and it didnt change into 4th...????seemed like the vb is messed up...i dont think its the tranny(please God make sure it isnt)....but i went out for a few hours and i was p-o'e...for someone my age to out all this money into my car...and for it not to perform they way i want it to is real hurt.... ???? does anyone know what happened or what do u guys think i should do????

shiit i didnt even finish what happened...when i went home i wanted to test drive it again...and it seems like it works ok now.....it feels normal????any1 know if this could happen on a cold tranny\vb....??i hope this doesnt happen ever again...im real tempted to get a gs400 < this is how i feel

 

Go with the GS400 , that way I will have some competition

 

I posted a warning about this mod previously. I had it done on 2 Auto Trannies in a V8. Both trannies blew shortly after the mod, that is similar to the one done here. I am speaking out of experience with Valve body mods, they can be a destruction point for your automatic. I do not believe in them . Those hard shifts are not helping the life of your tranny. Just my conclusion from previous history with Auto's...

 

your computer went into limp home mode
it threw a code "excessive wheel spin" and it automatically locked your tranny in third gear, your od light probably was on on flashin
when u turn the car off, it goes back to normal
and u ask me how i know this?
well i took my brothers maxima for a ride, did a healthy burn out, and tranny locked in third, i was thinkin my life is over and i was ****ed, but i turned the car off, put it on, and bang works like new hehe

 

thanks a lot...my car probably did what u said...my od light blinks all the time...stupid fail safe mode...well i post in the afternoon and let you know what happens...ethan if im all good... i want to race again see if this mod works???
