PICS: Carlisle Custom Compact Nationals, Carisle PA May 3rd-5th 2002.

Great weekend! It was one of the biggest car shows' i've ever gone to, the town was literally overrun by custom cars.. i mean thousands upon thousands roaming the streets. This year was my first time going.. if you live on the east coast you MUST attend next year.

(also some pics of import survival series from englishtown NJ last month if you havn't seen them yet)

To bad redmaxpa007 cant keep my hood it looked good on my car. That show was off the hook especially the burnout contest with more women flashing than burnouts. 81 was backed up to mechanicsburg exit which is about 10 miles away, it was like twice as big as last year.

Re: PICS: Carlisle Custom Compact Nationals, Carisle PA May 3rd-5th 2002.

The show was DEFINATELY the biggest Carlisle Custom Compacts ever. I've attended 5 years in a row and have never seen this kind of turn out. I'm beat as hell from working the Axis Wheels booth, but all in all, a very rewarding weekend. BTW, I appreciate the pictures you took of my car Until the next show.

Hey Rich,
I noticed you were missing your intercooler. What happened to it?

I removed it because the one I had was too small. It works really well with the strait pipe now.

Tony,

How did you do? Didn't see you on Sunday. The Maxima's got shut-out in every other category. The 240's got everything.

I met a guy with a SR20DET in his 240, the black S14. It was real hot. Other than that I didn't see any 240's with anything special.

Tony,
I didn't show, I was on display for Axis Wheels. We had a booth in the Pavillion. So I guess it's safe to say I didn't win anything. I went to help my sponsors out and to have a good time.

Yea, that was the only one that I thought was that great. Not very clean, but a ton of work. I thought Jeff's car, or even Pillager's would've been in there somewhere. Go figure.

I scored 78 points and good enough for a trophy. About 50% of cars didn't score above 70, which is the cut off for a trophy.

Scores were definetly a lot lower than they were in past years, but 78 is a great score. A couple of cars from the shop i used to go to only scored in the 60's.

Jeff and Pillager should have placed somewhere, its a shame all 240's took that class. But other than the judging we had a great weekend and got to meet a lot of max owners and am looking forward to next years show.

I changed them the night before the show. My cousin and I spent about 2 hours on Thursday night putting them on. Then about an hour finishing up a few lines on Friday. If you look closely, it's that chameleon vinyl that changes from green to purple to silver. I'd like to know what everyone thinks.. if it's too much or if it looks ok.. or whatever. What do you guys think?

Congratulations on your success in top flight. Competition looked tough this year and the judges were more strict than ever. Great work

I think it looks nice, i noticed the sheet of them sitting in your back seat. It came out pretty clean looking.

HAHAHA... yea.. we kind of made too much vinyl. We weren't sure how much we'd use so we cut 5 sheets of 1.5"x 5' vinyl.

That was the biggest show Carlisle has ever had. Normally that drive takes me 10 mins to get there. On Sat, it took me 3 and a half hours to get to the show. I don't even want to talk about how long it took me to get out. Too bad I had to work on fri and sat at the show, and I couldn't walk around to look at the cars. Sunday was my day off so I went with my dirty car to look around. They had some really nice cars this year. I'm definitely gonna get off sat for next years show so I can look around and attend some activities **cough**bikini contest**cough**

they're nice, i was just a fan of the pinstripe style ones you used to have, they gave some accent while still allowing a clean looking car

It's too random.. there's no kind of scheme with the new chameleon vinyl. Take them off. I would stick with the blue graphic schemes that you've had in the past but just elaborate more with it. You should have noticed that your car was not getting as much attention as it usually does. Probably due to the new graphics.
