Can someone post a sound clip of their Ypipe. I just want to hear how loud just the y pipe is, if you have cai or pop then post it anyways, those arent really loud. If you got exhaust, or supercharger forget it. I just want to know how loud it is so plz post!

the sound of a y-pipe with stock exhaust isn't even worth posting...it's barely noticable in person...let alone on a computer...if you drove a max with a y-pipe..and then one without...the only noticable difference would probably be the power....

 

Umm, actually the intake is *MUCH* louder than the Y-pipe alone. I've had my POP on the car for a couple years, and after adding my Warpspeed Y, I seriously could not tell the difference from inside the car.

Here's the catch: I stood behind the car and had someone rev the engine for me... yeah, there it is... you can hear a kind of gurgly growl from the exhaust, prolly about 1/10 the sound volume of the intake.

This is with everything else stock.

 

I recently installed a WSP y-pipe on my otherwise stock GLE. The sound difference is really a deepening of the original exhaust tone. Not a whole lot of volume added. You will only notice the sound at WOT. Good luck with your stealth modding!

 

I have to agree, I had a greddy sp cat back and that thing was quieter then most aftermarket exhausts and just a bid more deep then the stock, and then I put the catco cat and ws ypipe on and it didn't really get louder persai... just deeper. My car was never loud when it came to exhaust, even though I had a complete(as complete as you can get on a maxima)system.

the noise always came from the JWT Pop charger and then the PR CAI... that is where the noise is.
