Will Midas take off a cat. conv.

Ky just shot down the VET, so im going to take off my cat. conv. would a place like midas take it off and make me a straight pipe. Its still illegal

sure.. they will also install a supercharger they provide for free also

i live in Atl. and my friend who has a ford ranger got his cat removed by midas and had it straight piped\, hahah its funny

hehe i guess people are that gullable just get a high flow on there which is still legal straight pipe isn't and u'll get nailed at inspection thats of course if they check emmissions where ever u live

No they will not, most reputable shops will not touch the converter. They can be fined big time. Buy a straight pipe off ebay, and put it on in your driveway, if you must have it.

Yes its a $100,000 fine if they remove a catalytic converter... so they for the most part take it off. They will however cut the bolts off so you can do it yourself.

will they replace it with a high-flow cat convertor if i wanted them to?

oh, i thought it was only illegal if replaced by something illegal, and i was under the impression that high-flow cats were legal..ok, thanks for the info
