As you can see the pics are very highquality. You can recognize the people in the car, and see all the lines.

I don't think they would offer much...

...when they could just ring up Nissan GB and get them to send a brochure of the Primera over in the mail.

Well, more than just testing the Primera...

The previous Primera was the P11 model which was used as the basis for the Infiniti G20. It would seem logical that Nissan USA would take advantage of the new European model and so it's entirely possible that what the spy pics are of is a new Infiniti G20.

Either way, it's not a Maxima.

a new g20? since the g20 has already been replaced by the g35, why would they continue a 'new g20'? just doesnt make sense. what does make sense is the fact that the spy photos look pretty similar to the other proto pics of the maxima floating around.

The plot thickens...

Well, it's going to be one to watch then. I think historically the Maxima design cues have been led by Japan from the Cefiro design. The P12 is however designed in Europe, so it would be pretty radical to use it as a base for the presumed A34. Maybe this is one of the consequences of the Renault/Nissan strategic alliance?

Not everything has a $ value, esp. like that. I remember seeing photos of the E46 M3 on the web before the car mags. This dude followed the new M3 all over San Fran and had too many photos to even look at. This $ thing leads to fakies of Anna Kournikova and its mentality too.

Buy a Road and Track, Car and Driver, and Motortrend. Look in the front few pages for contact info...call them and tell them what you have. I'm not sure which one, but one of them has a "spy" section for pics like this...though I'm not sure if they pay.

Great shots! Can't say I really like the front fascia though. I'll keep my eyes open at the Glendale parking lots too.

For example, will there still be a Primera in the BTCC? Or will they switch to a 2.0L powered Skyline (U.S. Infiniti G35) sedan? If so, I'd welcome that change, since BMW won't be the only FF car in the series.

I don't know, but it's likely to be a Primera...

As far as I know, the BTCC rules require that the 'base model' must be available in the British Model Range as a normally aspirated 2 litre car. The only Skyline available in the UK is the RB26 engined Coupe, so it is likely to be a Primera. That said, as with all the works teams it is merely subcontracted by Nissan to an independent sports team and they will want to use whatever they can get that is the best platform to work from.

Re: I don't know, but it's likely to be a Primera...

I think you all are naive to think that they would just be driving the new design Maxima around with little to no cladding. I showed those pics to a friend that works for Nissan corporate and he said he has seen parts of the new design and that is definately not it. He said that is obviously just a test mule.

Re: Re: I don't know, but it's likely to be a Primera...

How about 20 of you in the area of wherever this Nissan HQ/plant is go there in your Maximas with giant billboards demanding "SHOW US THE NEW MAXIMA!!!!". Be sure to block all driveways and stop traffic for 10 minutes... protest!!! Then they'll show you the car

At the very least, you may get a coupon for a free oil change out of it...
