3m Clear Bra...

I hear everyone talking up the clear bra. Have two questions, how does it look, and how hard is it to but on? I would love to get one, but and a little iffy about it.

I have seen it, you cannot tell it is on. Only thing is a small line threw the bottom of the hood. I would definately get one, if my paint was new. Chinkzilla has one, and his car is rock pit free. He said they came out to his house and installed it for $350

I've had one on my car for about 5.5 months/20,000 kms. It definitely works, but now the stone chips just start farther up the hood

Well worth it if you wash your car alot and don't feel like removing the traditional bra from the car. If I were to do it again, I certainly would. A bit pricey (I paid $250 CDN installed) but virtually maintenance free. I mention virtually since you need a toothbrush to clean excess wax from the point where the clear bra ends if you use a wax that leaves residue (which the detail shop I go to does )

Another bra that I would consider:

Some pics of the clear one installed on my 2k2:

Did mine myself with a 12" strip from Xpel~$20. Follow the the directions carefully and take your time and in an hour or so you will be proud of yourself. I put on when the car was new and have had no nicks.

I have the magnet bra, looks bad-a$$, molds to the lines in the hood, and fits great. Plus at $45.00 you can't go wrong.

Had my installed month ago, had the complete kit installed from clearguard: (xpel) hood, bumper, mirror, lights. was a bit pricey at 450.00 but well worth it considering the alternative- chips, chips and more chips.........
