I'm putting a BLOWER on my car myself

Here's the plan. I'm going to mold the end of my electric leaf blower into the side of my stock airbox. (cut a hole in the side, stick the blower in, and then seal it up with silicon caulk or something). To power this beast I'm routing a wire to the trunk where I am going to have an extra battery. Now when I want the extra boost I'll have a switch on the dash to hit that will fire it up. Homemade FORCED INDUCTION. How much horsepower you guys think I'll get off this? 50 hp I am betting on with this small blower. Maybe in a couple weeks I'll pickup the more powerful model and shoot for 13s

Take this with a large grain of salt.

I wouldn't give out information like that until you get the patent approved.

Good idea, but I see a short coming. What are you going to do when the leaves fall?

I was gonna do something similiar, but instead of a blower, I was gonna use a high powered vacuum set of blow. Had it all hooked up, but the track officials wouldn't let me run the 1500ft of extension cord down the track... Oh well...

Take pics and write up on the install, sounds like a cheaper way to get HP.

Hahaha...You guys laugh now, but I know a guy that actually did it on his Cutlass Supreme. He said it didn't make that much of a difference though - something about it putting too much of a strain on his electrical system.

LOL..
