Weapon R Dragon Style intake, is it any good?

I was wondering if anyone has this intake and if its any good. It just came out recently and I was wondering who has it on their max and what they think about it. Is it worth buying? Or is the place racing better......?

don't buy one!!!!!

I put one of those on my car over a year ago. It was the worst $200 dollars I ever spent. The filter is crome painted plastic/foam. That alone was enough to **** me off.

So I ended up making my own. I was thinking of selling them but, I didn't want to ***** up frakencar's market. I have been working on DTM's, my buddy races and builds them. I'm modding their stock intercoolers for more air flow, etc... His car 92 Talon TSI/ 16G turbo/ 12.60 1/4 mi. that was before he did some motor work.

Anyway don't buy a "Dragon" intake the thing is a joke. Buy one from frankencar. Or I could make you the tube and you can get your own filter, hose couplings, etc... Just trying to help. PM me if your interested.

So what exactly comes with your intake? Colored hoses, silicone adapters?

I might think of selling my weapon r.

we use flat black couplers as of now, the silicone is $$$ and we are trying to stay affordable. the first run will be silver and then we will also have black and maybe some other colors. you get a k/n or monster flow filter, maf adapter, mid pipe and couplers and clamps needed to install.

We sold lots of the Weapon R intakes and everyone really liked them. Only got a couple complaints because they got the wrong MAF adapters which we fixed.

well, because my problem with the seller is still not resolved, so I have the wrong color intake, plus the wrong MAF adapter. So I might sell it and buy a red frankencar.

For those that want a different foam filter...

The recent Import Tuner with the red Spec V on the cover has an ad from this company called Rtec. They make a few different types of foam filters. They say the element is 1/2 inch thick and washable. There are two aluminum mesh piecesZ(one inside, one outside) holding the element in place, too.

I tried going to their website, but it's not even up yet.

Oh, that's bad. I'm getting mine at the end of this week or early next. Hope nothing is wrong.

If you sell it you'll probably get more then the 135 you paid for it as long as it's not used.

Yeah, that pretty much gave it away.

I think he sent me the one for 2000+ maximas.

dmbmaxima88 can you make a post as soon as you have 95-99 MAF adapters available, so I can order one.

For mine I specified many things and one was that it was for the fourth gen. And also told everyone in the group deal to do so too. They followed my other request so I think and hope that they followed this one.

Oh, you wouldn't believe how many times I specified what I wanted. In fact I can show you all my emails saying what I wanted. Unfortunately what we want is not always what we get. I've learned my lesson, never do buisness with someone who responds to your emails with 2 words, and spells both of them wrong. What I am suspecting, is that he is a middle-man we pay him, and he sends the order somewhere else. How else could he send me the wrong thing twice.

I hope your GD goes well. I would hate to see more .org people get screwed by him. I should've just waited for the frankencar.
