painting bodykit

Has anyone ever done this themselves? I just got back from the bodyshop that came highly recommended and they quoted me $500.00 for paint and install... but they are backed up for the next 2 weeks.

just go to home depot and buy some house paint, and duct tape. Slap some paint on there, and ust the duct tape to put it on there, there ya go a painted body kit!

The home depot method sounds kinda ghetto.

I was thinking since I already have an air compressor that all i would need to get is a decent paint gun and some paint. Now the question is where do I get nissan paint, how do I tweak it so that it matches my car, and what should I look out for. Now whether all of this is cost effective I have no idea. But it seems like it would be an interesting hobby skill to pick up. Maybe if I get good at it I will paint the car. Or not.

200 is a really good price. Was that price just for the front end or the side skirts and the rest of the kit?

Also where do you look up these paint codes?

It was 200 for the sides the back and the front grill. he said if it starts to peel or anything or cracks that it is covered under warranty. Im prety happy with the outcome.

wow that's awesome. too bad all dealers can't be like yours. I'm almost afraid to go to my dealer and ask what they might charge.
