Ever have one of those moments....

Ever have one of those moments where you are like 'Oh give me a f'IN break?' Well, I rotated the tires yesterday, you know, like any good Maxima owner should do...and I kinda rushed to put everything back together and get out of the shop for the day. (guess that would be the mistake). Anyways, that was last night about 7pm. I get up this morning and decide to drive the max to work. I drive the 40 miles to work and park. I am upstairs for like 10 minutes when one of my coworkers comes in and says 'Did you get new rims?' I was like 'nope'. He then goes on to tell me that the rear driver-side rim looks different. So, feeling like he is nuts, I get up, go downstairs and yep, it is different. The cover that is allen wrenched on, that covers the bolts, is missing on that rim. Somewhere along the 40 mile route is that said cover. I can't wait to see how much this will cost to replace. Probably not too much...I was just like 'oh give me a f'IN break'. I guess the moral of the story, which I know I have seen on the ORG a million times, would be you rush even the little things, you will probably pay for it later. Just thought I would share.

Sorry about that bro ... I bet that centercap will be expensive too because it's Racing Hart. It's always better to take your time, especially when installing wheels (the lugs, centercaps, torquing, etc.)

Yep they are expensive. Racinghart caps are usually like $50. What wheel is it for? Z5000? What size? I might be able you get you one.

Rim size

They are 19's and they are Z5000's. If you can get me one by the end of the week, let me know.

DOH! that's gotta hurt.

Last time dad had tires mounted on his 63 Ford, one of the hubcaps fell off of it on the 60 mile drive between dad's house and my school... It took us 3 years of searching to piece together a complete set, and we're now back down to 3.

sorry about that bro. but i lost one back in march. it was chrome plated and it cost me 115 bucks and it took me 6 weeks to get it. i think it is a prob that with the rim. but what do i know. i just make sure to check them a couple times a week. also make sure you dont overtighten because they will strip. i have one of those also. anyone with a hookup on those caps i would be interested too so just in case it happens again.
