Welp, it actually happened last night and this was funny! I was getting myself ready to get creamed 
Anyways, we did this a few times to be sure. I came up to a light with the Maxima on my left, he had only one passenger, Young teenagers looks like, they looked over and I did and shook my head, to agree that its on! I put my gear in 1st, hold it at 3k rpms, I hear him powerbraking it, light goes GREEN, bam off, I got some tire spin, but very little due to LSD, I had 1/2 car instatly, off the line, by the end of 1st I had 1 car, slam 2nd gear, 1 1/2 cars by the top of 2nd, then hit 3rd, I was slowly slowly pulling on him, by the top of 3rd I was not gaining anymore, and we both had to slow down due to another light, and same thing happeend again, with same results 3 times. They got upset and jet! LOL!!! Anyways, I was dam surprised on what my new 2k sentra did!! I have a homemade intake (no funds right now ) and thats it! The car supose to run 15.9 and 0-60 7.4 stock, well, with the intake probably a mid to high 15sec car now!! Woohoo!!!!
Then I also had a race with a 240sx modded pretty heavily. 1st race was on the highway, we both took off from 80mph each time, and I didn't gain on him till 110mph and I started pulling then! Same result each time. Then we both got off the same exit and did a light run, we both took off nicely, then we floored it, I gained 1/2 car instatly, 2nd, bam 1 car, then 3rd, he started gaining all of a sudden!!!!! I was like crap, then he passed me! I was like huh?! At the next light we talked for a bit, he had HEADERS, exhaust, CAI, pulleys, timing. Dam heheheh, his car of course has more HP than mine stock, but still I am impressed!

Not to say that you are wrong, but isn't the 2k Sentra SE 5-spd slower than 0-60 7.4s? I read a comparo between Sentra SE and Dodge Neon RT and I think Motortrend noted a 7.9s 0-60 for Sentra SE 5-spd.

I don't doubt that, but it seems sort of fast to me. Where did you get this figure? I've driven a 2k Sentra SE 5-spd and it didn't feel like a 0-60 in 7.4s to me.
Maybe for your car it's one of those "fast" models built a little better than other Sentras.

My car felt like a dog before, but now it has 2000 Miles and really feels strong, especially after the intake. So I think it needed some break in, and the intake really helped. I did a search a long time ago, I don't know where I got it from either, its been to long.Originally posted by Eric L.
