Racing with the ACT clutch, RPM?

im getting an ACT clutch installed very soon along with some other goodies and my mech invited to me to go to HRP, local track, with him. Ive read that the ACT is hella more sticky than stock so i was wondering what RPM do you guys drop from to take off without uncontrollable spinning or bogging? thanks

you might want to break the clutch in properly first

Yeah just remember you have to break in the new components....

New clutches and flywheels require a break in period of easy driving and smooth engagements. When I got my ACT clutch/UR flyhwheel combo 500 miles was the suggested break in period. For my own personal taste I kept that going until about 600 miles. If you drive your car often you'll feel the pedal get more consistent and you'll begin to get more familiar with the new flywheel and clutch. After that I suggest you take it for a hard run, just to see how much you've gained with the new parts. If you thought first gear went by quickly before you check out the difference with the new flyhwheel.

Enjoy the new mods.

im not getting a new flywheel but i was plannin on a 500 mile break in period. i was just wondering if it is like a night and day difference compared to stock for like 3500k drop.

If you drop a FWD car on street tires you are more than likley going to spin. FWD launches require you to "dance" with the clutch and throttle.

Turbo97GXE - haha, that's EXACTLY what I think of when I hard-launch

I wouldn't completely drop if I were you. After the break-in period just dance around a bit and determine what works best.
