I thought I would never ever post something ridiculous like this but I can t make up my mind. I been looking at these Volks the LE37T something like that I have enclosed pics, I was thinking 17x8 in front and 17x9 in rear or 18x8.5 all around but can t make up my mind 17 or 18's. I am currently on 15 inch hubcaps and they are not that heavy at all. Car picks up very very fast. Post your opinions and facts but this is the somewhat the type of wheel I want and is easy to clean as well.

Jay,
Personally I don't like those wheels. They seem to bland and plain like a tuner rim. I'd like to see your ride with some nice Nakayama 6-speeds...how much do they weigh?
Anyways, you were right...18" definatally fits the 4th Gen maxima the best.
Here is the thing I don't get...you are still S-charged, right? I am thinking that with those light, skinny little 15's that you would just sit there and spin like mad off the line. It seems like for a FWD car like yours that's putting the kind of power out that you are, wouldn't big slightly heavy rims be an advantage? To hold you down and allow you to gain traction? I have always wondered that..

Jaime, it's a pretty easy decision IMO.
If you have the money, get the Volk's. I also like the LE37T's, but I can't justify paying the price for them.
If you're more on a budget, get the SSR's.
As far as size, it also depends on you. If you could afford it, get the 18s. I think I have to go with 17s with my next purchase of rims, 18s just cost a bit too much.

I had a set of SSRs that I regret selling. I sold them because I thought I was going to sell the car. Well, fate has decided otherwise and I'm going to buy another set of SSR Competitions. Just make sure you dont skimp on the tires. I do like the Volks LE-37s as well, just cant justify the extra $$$.

Actually I am a 5 speed I dont need to slam on the gas I ease into the gas and then by the end of second is when I slam on the gas to pick up really fast, thats how I beat the WRX, but yes craig those wheels are not off the hook but I called Joytech last week they want $550 a wheel for Volks , thats going to tear a hole in my wallet, the best thing I can do is now wait, summer just began, the only reason Id get the SSRs is bcuz they wont tear a hole in my wallet. Keep in mind my car doesnt have all that gap which would make the wheel sit in the wheel well a bit nicer. I do love those volks on that BMW doesnt that look beautiful. That has to be a 18.

I am looking at the over all pic of the weight of the wheel, is not just performance is also gas mileage since I will be driving more often as well. I can slam on the gas with heavier 18's and go with out spining your right, but if that was the case I should have never sold my other rims. There are lots of nice wheels if I didnt care I'd order the Versus SS7's in 18x8.5. I really like those or the SSR GT3's or even the Zenetti Vegas in 18.

volks, but if you want to save $$ you know what to do.
Just curious, why you going with a bigger rim i the back if you get 17's?
Does it have to do with the offset?
I would say 18's...BUT tires COST for 18's

I like that big lip in the rear you have to see unclemaxs Maxima it looks nice, it will give the car a aggresive look

Tires are on sale for $3 more size 245/40 18 at discounttiredirect for the same tires I use to have Nitto NT555 $143 a piece free shipping. Kumhos 235/45 17 $140 at tirerack something like that. Did the calculations already!!The SSRS in 18s I will pay only $34 flat rate shipping no Tax if I go through AAFES to order them.

Okay just called Mackinindustries the Volk LE37T weigh 17.5lbs in 18x8.5, according to this guy in VA, they make them in 18x8 with a 40MM offset, problem they retail $660 he wants to let them go for $594 each a total of $2476 shipped to my house. SSRS are $449 plus $34 shipping charge total is $1830 no tires once again. Tires will cost $143.00. I just found another place that sells them for $510 a piece www.rotormotorsports.com for the volks.

They don't make 18x8...he will probably end up selling you 18X7.5. What's this place in VA...Car Trenz? For $594, it should include shipping and some nice lugs.

I sold those. I got a really good deal on those. The LE series is abit more since they are new and in high demand. I got them from Car Trenz in VA. $510 each for the LE37T is a good price. You won't get any better unless you get them at dealer's cost.

Although the two piece SSR 5 spoke (don't know model#) is a nice rim.
Guess you're looking for a light rim?
How about the gram light pros w/ the polish lip. Sweet!!!!!!!1

Mine were 18X8.5 with 40mm offset. You can clear pretty much any big brakes with that size without needing spacers. I have 2" drops also with no rubbing.
Try these two places.
Cell Page Car Trendz
9654 Main Street
Fairfax, VA 22041
(703) 978-9088
Ask for Charles and tell him Tony Chang with the maxima sent you.
Evolution Autosports
13903 Metrotech Drive
Chantilly, VA 20151
(703) 961-9090
Ask for Jeff and tell him Mark Yuen with the Acura CLS sent you. Mark's a buddy of mine. He's tighter with Jeff than me. I'm just trying to get you the best deal
Both the above shops are authorized Mackin dealers.

ahh, on the tires it might cost $3 now, but in a year or so it might be $20-$30 a tire
You like the 555.. I almost went with them... I chickened out and got different tires.
Sounds like your getting alot of useful info.
When are you coming to ATL?
I might have something for you to hang out at the auto hobby shop for..not a S/C

I smell a trend.. too bad im gonna buck it. I like the SSR Type-C's more than the Volks. They're lighter, and I think they're better looking. (They should also be stronger, as SSF is supposed to be 'true forging') If you want an idea, BrianV has 17x7.5 TypeC's on his car.
If you can, I'd rather go 18x8 Type-C @ 15.0 lbs than the Volks at 17-18 lbs. Lighter, stronger, better looking .. you get gunmetal on black
BTW, I'm not biased because I've owned almost everything mentioned in my post. SSR's, Volks (2 sets right now), gunmetal on black .. See homepage link if you're bored.
