Maxima '01 versus Maxima '02

Besides the looks...was there any noticeable changes in the internal workings of a Maxima'02 as opposed to a Maxima'01. I am thinking about getting a '01...but if the '02 has a lot more substance to it, I might change my mind. Please give me your opinions, thanks.

have you done any research on maximas at all? honestly, i think 2002 brought around some of the biggest changes to maximas ever....

some sort of limited slip differential
6-speed
3.5 255HP engine
navigation
but most importantly...

If you care about performance, then 2002 6SPD with an HLSD all the way. That car is awesome. If not then you might save some cash on a 2K1, but I don't think its a wise investment.

But don't believe us, test drive them both. If you don't feel the difference, go to the doctor.

No...I think the introduction of the 1995 Maxima was the biggest. It got ALL the mags excited and put the Maxima in Wards best engines, and made it a best seller. I mean were talking a totally re-designed body, new chassis, and new engine.

The VE and VG boys can grope and argue all they want, but in the end they know they go home OWNED, by the power of the VQ.

I agree, that was the biggest change for it everything was totally new, not bored out etc. It even got M/T car of the year that year!

I still have the Car & Driver issue from 95. That car was ahead of its time performance wise.

Yep, the 4-gen was the year for many changes. Mostly the emergence of the all mightly MINIMA classification.
