if you have a FSM, check that first. I don't know the bolt size.

You will need slightly longer ones for where it will meet up with the catalytic, though I don't remember what the size is.

Here are some general instructions

Aside from the swivel joint... a deep socket is a must.

M10x1.25 IIRC. If that isnt it, its M12x1.25. I actually replaced all the studs on my cat with new bolts, and all the manifold nuts replaced as well.

Cut'em off and drill them out. Then go to Home Depot and buy two new bolts and nut. Problem solved.

I used a torch (road flare actually) to heat the flange on the cat to expand it and then vice gripped the stud off. The nuts were so seized onto the stud in the other cases that brute force seperated the stud from the cat when using air impact or breaker bar. I actually would not suggest using home depot bolts. They are not grade 10.9 metric bolts (the equiv. of grade 8 for SAE) and will break easily, especially for a high heat application like the cat.

I got all my hardware from pep boys. Oh yeah, be sure to anti seize the F outta all the threaded bolts for easy removal.

You just spray some Liquid wrench work on all the other 14MM nuts and come back and loosen that one nut thats impossible to get to. Is not that bad I dont know why people make a big deal out of that. Universal joint, 1/2 inch 14MM deep socket, Long extension, and if all possible instead of a small socket use a breaker bar with a adapter to fit 1/2 socket. Thats what I used to put remove and put my Ypipe back on.

Ypipe is an easy thing to do. To me the key is the breaker bar and Universal Socket joint.
