headlights

i have searched under 'headlights' 'blue headlights' 'aftermarket headlights' and several other similar subjects. i am wondering who makes the best bulbs that:

...ARE NOT ANY HIGHER THAN STOCK WATTAGE; i got 100/80w bulbs and a harness upgrade and they bulbs still burnt my harnesses, so i'm just gonna go back to stock wattage...

...have a bluish/purplish tint to them; i just want the bluest looking stock wattage bulbs. any info/pics/comparisons please. thanks

Piaa Super Plasma have a bluish tint to them, and are really bright. Expect to pay 60 on ebay!

Phillips Bluevisions. Can't go wrong. I don't even have them, but I've heard so many good things about them. You know that's what I'm getting next

Eveyone says bluevisions are great, I'll probably try them out when my Silverstars burn out.

NickMax, check out my homepage (2nd page) if you want some decent bulbs that "are not bluish/purplish" ... kinda defeats the purpose of what you're looking for though

Phillips BlueVision or Sylvania Cool Blue. I have the Cool Blues, and they are much brighter and whiter than stock. I'm very happy with them.

Anyone know if they make sylvanias/phillips in matching color to cover corner bulbs and stock fog bulbs? If/when I go about upgrading mine, I'd like to make sure all three match as close as possible, and I'm also not looking to go above stock wattage in any way.

Philips Bluevisions are not blue in any shape or form. They are brighter and whiter than stock, but if you want an HID look-alike, you will be dissapointed.

see, whats what i'm trying to figure out here; i want some stock wattage bulbs, but the bluest of that sort. i understand that no 65/45w bulb is going to have true-HID blue light output, but i would like peoples opinions on just what stock wattage bulb does closest resemble a blue light.

Yeah, that's the one marketing mistake, although minor, that Philips made, calling them bluevisions. Kindof a ricey name, for a product that's not ricey at all.

I had Naxos lights before, but they were 100/80 watts. Very bright and pretty blue, but the visibility sucks. Bluevisions and Silverstars are more yellow, but the light output is much better. As somebody said it before, take your pick, see or be seen.
