I will give you a VOTE, but just to let you know it is more about favoritism rather than what all is done to your car. At least that is my .02!

And the reason I say this is because I have done everything except a SC, I have the lowest maxima on the org, I have won at shows like Hot Import Nights and other big events, and still I haven't been the infamous "Maxima of the Month", because I live in Mississippi and don't know hardly any of the people on this boards personally.

 

Hmmm...well, I thought I would try to get the car noticed and see what happens. Maybe you and I can be CO-MAXIMAS of the month!!!!

 

That is ok...I don't need any votes. I will set up my OWN website and have 'Maxima of the Week' and it will be MY car every week!!!! Oh wait, that is my Car Domain site.

 

Hey man, your car is sweet, but asking for a MOTM vote is pretty lame. Thats like saying to acquaintences "hey tell my I am great."

it's all favoritism here, not what you have on your car or done to it but who you know. your best chance is to pay some ppl or s_ck alot of d__k.

i'm not down with any of that so i'm very happy to say i will never be "Maxima of the Month"

Personally, I don't think we should have Maxima of the Month. Members of the Month should be better suited for people getting recognized for setting records or accomplishing what no other has. That way the ugliest Max will get its due for being the fastest and so on.

Recognition should not be based on just looks.

 

Well, if it were truly fair, everyone on the board would have a vote on who should get Maxima of the month. There are plenty of cars out there I would vote for if given the chance. Gimmie a list of 10 cars and i'll gladly submit my vote.

 

I agree, there's no real point in Maxima of the Month. Member of the Month sounds interesting.

 

only on a maxima forum will you have arguing over the car of the month..

other boards have 1 member who decides who is worthy and i think we should not use the voting system, because if one person has a lot of computer buddies then he/she easily gets it.

i like the "being different" or "accomplishing what others havent" idea.. they are tons of cars on here that mark these words, and i think it's a good idea.

but on the other hand.. i also dont think being "most stock" or "cleaniest stock paint" will warrant MOTM..

 

I'm not sure if this was directed toward me but I'll answer you anyway. Regardless if someone has the "cleanest car" or "most stock", it really shouldn't matter. If the owner and his/her car does something, they should be recognized. If shouldn't just be for people that spend the most money to do up their rides. Personally, it means nothing for me to win MOTM but when I start my projects, I'd like to be the fastest NA auto in MA. Looks can only go but so far anyway. That's fine with me.

I was just saying that someone should not think they deserve motm if they have the cleanest cupholders or bullish like that..

and if that was directed at me, looks are for some people and speed is for others.. i'd rather catch people's eyes and win trophies then run a 1/4 mile .000072 seconds faster then someone else...it's all about what you are into, and i respect that, but to each his/her own.

i think it's pretty damn cool that your car would probably beat mine because you know how to shift better then i do or launch better..

True also but the "judges" should be more in tune to both sides, performance and looks.

I feel I still have a long way to go though or maybe I'm being hard on myself as usual.

 

Im just surprised no one has nominated Nigel for his turbo max. I mean he gets a custom turbo made, plus he gets the shop to start selling a produced turbo for the maxima, which in my opinion is 10x better than the stillen supercharger. I mean he's pushin 350 hp on an otherwise stock engine, He is the ultimate sleeper. He gets my vote.

 

why do you guys find it necessary to "vote" its not like KevinG cares about this, he picks which ever car he feels, IMHO...

I have a nice max coming for my car of the month, and I find that it was well earned. Just as my current Car of the month
