New optional Nissan wheel................
#1
Ever see that "optional" wheel in the back of the nissan brochures? Usually since a regular wheel is like 300 bucks form the dealer and these optional ones don't come with the car nobody has em.
Anyway, in the back of the 01 Maxima brochure there is a new 16! Normally they are 15's. This one is a 5 spoke, but the spokes are thinner than the curren 16's on the SE. AND.....ITS CHROME
Anybody got 1600 to get a set?

on the manual
[I have been thumbing through my 97 facotry manual and on one of the pictures there is one where the spare is full size.
I am not sure if that actually exists. Does anyone have a full size spare with the car when they bought the car? I always thought all the cars came with that stinky little doghnut--which is pretty annoying when one does actually have a need for the spare.
hmmm...so they have introduced a full size spared for the 01? that is pretty neat.
and useful--at that.

really?
So the Canadian models come with a full size spare, but our cars here in the states come with a donut--what is the logic behind that??
I need someone from Nissan to explain to me why a country that is just north of us here get full size spare tires yet, we here, who need that full size spare just as bad--don't get it?
and does a full size spare fit in the spot alloted for it in the trunk?

That's correct all later year 4th gen Maxima SEs and GLEs came with full size alloy spare wheels, not sure about GXEs. Also, all Maximas came with colour matched mud flaps. Later generation SEs and GLEs only came fully loaded. Well, I guess Canadian Maximas are better packaged!

My mom's 2K orignially had those rims on it when she bought it. . . They were off a 99 Lim-SE and the new owner of that car wanted the real SE rims. . . My mom didn't want to pay the inflated costs the dealer wanted for the rims so she had them swapped out for the typical SE rim. They looked nice with the Super Black, but weren't worth the $2500 the dealer wanted for them.
