I saw awhile back that someone had clamps on their springs to lower the car a little more....I saw today at an auto parts store you can buy them for about $40 Canadian....basicly they clamp 2 of your coils together...lowering your car about 1/2 an inch more. Anyone tried this? Apparently it's not as bad as cutting springs....currently I have h&rs but another little bit lower would be nice....

It doens't matter which two coils you clamp together...unless the springs are progressive rate.

Are progressive springs ones that are wound tighter at the top? If so...I believe mine are. Where should I clamp?
Thanks.

Let me ask yuo this:

Why are you even considering this? Please keep in mind, making springs is a science, not just some random stuff. You clamp the springs, you are screwing up the spring rates, and the whole ride. Performance, yeah right... none. Safety/ yeah right, none. Spring clamps are stupid. Think of it this way.... if you have someone else do it, they will charge you labor, the same labor probably for putting in a set of real springs. How much are clamps? $50? did you know sprint springs are something liek $130? You already would be spending more than 1/3 on the stupid clamps. If it's for show, maybe I can understand, but I would not drive around with clamps.
