CF hood care?

Well looks like us 3rd genners hoods are almost finished from Fiber Images.

I've been wondering about how to care for the CF hood. I mean does it need to be waxed or what's the deal? Does the stock under-hood padding need to be switched over to the CF hood?

I'm asking because my friend has had a CF hood for his Civic for about a year now and that thing looks terrible. For some reason it's gone totally dull. Should he have been waxing it or what? He said it's because the heat got to it since he never put on the underhood padding from his stock hood on the CF hood. But yeah his hood is pretty much ruined and I dont want it happening to mine.

Put a nice thick coat of clear on it and treat it like normal paint. The resin that holds the CF together deteriorates in the sun which is why the hood looks like ****..

Is there not really anything I can do to keep the resin from deteriorating? I mean my friends hood came with a clear coat.

I assume the Fiber Images hood comes already clear coated right?

CF hood care...

I'm pretty sure for the 4th Gens it comes with a special solution to use for cleaning it. I'm pretty sure that is you use traditional cleaning products you can discolor, weaken, and even warp the hoods. After all, they're not sheetmetal. BTW James12345 every time I see your car it looks sweeter.
