Sounds from WR Coil-overs!

When ever I turn my steering wheel i get this awful creaking sound from the front springs. Is this suppose to happen? How do I fix it.

welcome to the club.. you see you have a metal threaded sleeve on a metal purch and when you turn it turns and clunks and creaks and there isnt a damn thing you can do about it.. just enjoy the nice low drop and the crappy ride.

you should weld your purches lower in the front to get a 4" drop in front..

you wont notice a difference in sound with spring wrap.. just fyi. the springs dont rub, the coil cups do.

It really comes down to what is truley making the noise...across the net none of us know for sure.

But if the coils are hitting (fully compressed)alot, he needs better shocks first of all but a some spring isolaters could help, its the little rubber thing that goes around 2 coils.

If the spring is to little it could "jump" ever so slight to bang aganst the perch.

If it's a click, it could be the perch set screw when he turns.

So much stuff to check.
