I never said I needed pictures of Sprite's setup to believe him. If he hadn't given Hogan so much sh|t for not having pictures I'd be more likely to believe him. Sprite is being a hypocrite. He demands pictures, but refuses to meet his own criteria. So if we apply his own criteria, he fails.

Hogan has pictures and will provide them if you ask for them. He has a zip file of them. He has sent them to people and offered to show people the timeslips in person.

I have seen pics of Turbo's setup.

Now the question I ask you is: have you actually seen pics of the setup? ie.. the one in question here? Offering and doing are two different things. And pics of a turbo motor does not = a turbo'd maxima.

Do me a favor and delete XXX's name from your post. We all know who we are talking about here.

And all I'm asking is, if you believe someone else without pics, you shouldn't be asking for pics to believe someone else. That's all. You should either believe both to discount both. Not believe one and not the other.

He could be mocking XXXX but from where I stand, I've seen more proof from Turbo than XXXX.

Damn, i've never seen a 430 run in the 1/4 and don't follow them that much anymore, but the best i've ever heard of was a 14.1 stock... I've never seen or heard of a 13.9

 

I've seen 2 GS400s and 1 GS 430 run at my track and they are no faster nor quicker than my lowly 4th gen. Usually I trap out higher than them too. I do have mods and they don't so obviously I'd get creamed if I didn't have any mods. I have yet to face one on the highway in my Max. I ran one when I had my 94 Z28 and I walked it easily from 60-130mph (~3 cars).

unless you got a VI intake.. you are going to watch that GS 400 disapear infront of you.. trust me.. they are highway monsters.. if i can only put 3 cars on one with 80 shot at highway speeds.. you are going to get creamed

I always look for aggresive drivers to run. My exprience with the big luxury sedans are as follows.

LS430 - from a 40-65 punch, very close, he only pulled maybe two feet the whole time. (he was probably an auto)

Recently NEW BMW 750 - from a 55-80 punch, at the start his front wheels were at my door, by 80 his rear wheels were at my door. (this was in the only area I race, frontage roads off the toll way, very even roads, no side streets, and a straight line)

Get a Y-pipe and CAI, if that race was that close under those conditions, you should be fine with these mods.

A six speed 2K2, very nice car

 

I'd say give it a shot again. Accoding to the stock #s from both the 2k2 Maxima and 2k2 Gs430, its pretty close. Eh u lose, u lose, his car was like 20k, just think of what you would of done with 20k more to spend on your car.

 

Don't mean to be a mag racer or anything, but in the June 2001 Motortrend, they got a 13.9 @ 103 mph STOCK. We have one almost fully modded 2k2 6-speed that beats that time. On the street anything can happen, and im not predicting winners, but id put my money on the lexus.
