I am thinking of getting a used set of 17" konig tantrums for my 2000 maxima gle. They have 1 month old kumhos....the guy will sell it to me for $600. Is that a good price? What do you guys think of this wheel?

Where?

BTW. That is a pretty good price IF the tires are the right size and the wheels are the right offset

Hi, I live in Ontario and I'm trying to find 17" wheels like your Tantrums. Sounds like you got a good deal, do you have any advice about how to locate used wheels/tires. Did you find them on the Org, or Internet, or local sale?

Thanks...Ray

The price isn't bad. I bought mine new from Discount Tire for $670 plus lugs and sales tax about 3 months ago. Hope the ones your looking at are at least 7.5 inches wide.

I bought them from Rod on max.org, he shipped em up from the states with a couple hundred $ value and marked em as a gift. I still owe UPS the $75 bucks for em, but that was way less than I was expecting. Keep an eye on the for sale forums on here, everything you need for a max goes on sale every month or two at the perfect price. I'm in the midst of buying the S/C from one of our guys and I couldn't be happier! When you ship, try USPS over UPS, they charge less, and have the buyer declare the value at less than it is, and declare it as a gift. If you order from a wheel-company from down there, chances are they won't do that and you'll get really knocked up at the boarder for tax.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice from another member from the Great White North (although I'm overheating in the 32 degree weather we're having today!).

No. Remember, mine are brand new in the boxes, not used.

i have a set of giovanna racing naganos brand new w/o tires. I was going to put them on my car, but then i got into the accident =[. They look exactly like the tantrums, except its more of a name brand i guess.

Hey Ray, welcome to the .org.

I live in Ottawa area, so always looking for a deal for my tires. I found a site called www.tiretrends.com . They are a B.C. based company and sell tires for cheap (I got my 18" Evos and Kumhos from them about 2 months ago). I paid 2500$ shipped to my door with McGard wheel nuts.

That's Canadian $$... Shipping was $20 per tire and it took about a week to get them. Can't remember how they shipped, but I think UPS. No DUTY, since it's from B.C., and only GST. NO tax!!
Great deal, and probably as good / better than tire rack, esp. considering no duty.

Check em out.

I read your post and I understand that they're brand new. I was just wondering if you got them for that price (NEW) with tires. Nevermind, I guess not.
