Rewire Blinker to stay on! And yes I searched
Rewire Blinker to stay on! And yes I searched
I just rewired my bumper lights so that they alternate blinking when lights are on and blink togethere when off. I want to know how to keep the part that blink on all the time when lights are on. I searched and found something about changing the socket from the corner bulb to the bumper but don't know how to go about this. A little assistance would be appreciated.

Go to Pepboys or Autozone and get a dual filiment socket. (1157) It has three wires, one pos. and two grounds. Connect the the positive and one ground to the blinker, and connect the other ground to the sidemarker ground. Plug in an 1157 bulb and it'll work.
I tried this mod before, and follow directions from a very informative website with pics and everything. BUT, I kept blowing fuses...and even the rear blinker fuses started to blow. So...I just put it back to stock and I have no problem anymore.
I'm still wondering though...is it possible to combine both blinker mods? Having the alternating feature while retaining the "always on" front signal bulb?

And what do you mean you blew a fuse all the time. I don't want that headache if I do this.

you want it to stay on.. its simple..
buy a dual filament socket
tap one power off the parking light that is to the corner of the bumper.. and tap one to the regular wire power wire for the indicator..
ensure that when you do it.. make sure if you have the light staying on on the bright power on one side.. do it on the other side.. and you will ahve to put in a 10 amp fuse because you are now overloading the car's lighting and power system.. so you have to trick it with the fuse
