Installing BLUE LEDS in Switches?

Installing BLUE LEDS in Switches?

I was wondering if you can do this for 97-99, cheston's says you can't for the rears, any suggestions? Thanks.

you can but its a pain, it varies from year to year too.

it was a piece of cake. Ive done it to my 98gxe. ive got blue all around..even in the manual climate control... try it out, if u get stuck let me know, ill post some pics. oh and go with 3mm blue leds for the window switches.

You don't HAVE to use 3mm but since the original LEDs are 3mm, they will fit perfectly. I used 5mm LEDs from Radioshack (276-311) for all my window switches. Driver's side was a pain to do, other doors were easy.

Also, I put in Autodynamic.com blue LEDs in the gauges and shifter, color matches pretty well with the doors.

98fiveSpeed, tell me what you did with your manual climate control. I'd like to see a pic if you have one because I'm debating what should I do with the manual climate control. Did you change the illumination (the three screw-in mini-bulbs) or the mode-set LEDs (with the rectangular base)?

I did everything. All blue everywhere. The 3 big bulbs and the rectangular leds. I will post some pics for you later on today evening. I used 3mm LEDS in place of the rectangular ones. fit is nice and snug.

i have a 99 and i just used the 5mm leds in the rear.. hooked it up and sat it on top of the small square stock one.. worked like a charm.
