best way to repair a bumper?

hi all,

the next little bit is mostly jabber, so skip to THE MEAT if you don't care to hear me go on and on.

first off, this is my first post to any of the maxima.org forums, so forgive me if a seem like a bit of a noob.

second, i love my maxima and i am quite perturbed about the fact that the 2003 maximas have a 3.5L engine (with a 6 speed option, *******it) after the fact that the altimas are using the base 2k maxima engine. i mean, i love being old school and all, but i'm the type of guy that, for some reason, has to have the biggest, best, latest, and greatest.

third, i love my car. =)

THE MEAT -- a couple of months ago, i backed into a friend's blazer (hey, my back window was fogged up and i didn't think anyone was behind me). anyhow, the tow hooks on his truck were nice enough to punch a hole in the back of my bumper and i've hesitated to fix it for quite a while. i don't want to have to get the entire bumper replaced. a couple of people have told me it might be possible to fill the hole with some type of compound, sand it, and paint it so that it would not be noticable at all. does anyone have any suggestions?

also, i've been wanting to make some mods to my car for quite a long time, but seem to not ever have the money to do so. first thing i'm probably looking at would be some rims. however, i don't want to buy some butthole *** rims, so i'm asking the forum's opinions on what brands are good and what brands to stay away from. my maxima currently has the factory 17"s on them.

and again also, i've been itching to replace the stereo system with some aftermarket **** and am more than interested in using the door frame tweeter compartments that are already there. has anyone done any aftermarket stereo modifications using the existing compartments in the door frame that doesn't sound like ***?

and some more also, does anyone with a black maxima have any suggestions on tint? i saw a black maxima earlier today with pretty dark tint and it just didn't look right -- im thinking about going with mirror tint, i think it'll look nice, but i'd love some other opinions.

AND ALSO, does anyone here lease their car? are their any benefits to leasing besides being able to get a new car after the term is up and not being in debt?

thanks,

dizee
