Used low mileage tranmissions imported from Japan?

I'm facing a 5 speed manual transmission rebuid/replacment on my 90 SE. I've heard of suppliers of used tranmissions imported from Japan that have very low mileage like 20k -40k miles versers local salvage units with maybe 100K miles on them. This is suposed to be possible because cars in Japan get much less mileage that those driven in the US. I getting feedback that ANY rebuilt tranny is iffy, even those supposedly dyno tested.

Has anyone heard of these? Know a reputable supplier?

NOTE: I didn't limit this posting to 3rd Generation forum because it applies to all years. I'm looking for a info about a reputable source.

Have any personal knowledge of these guys? Or just seen their ads somewhere? I'm told some of these outfits will just tell you what you want to hear on mileage on the transmissions.

One of my friends ordered a motor for his 97 Legacy. He wanted a spare or something. 4 months later his motor was flooded, got stuck under a bridge in one of those famous Chicago storms. Put in the new motor, they said it had 37,000 on it, looked new performs great. If a part is not listed on the site just e-mail them. I will hopefully order my 5-spd from them for the conversion...
