Problem or not?? Please help

Whenever my car shifts under medium acceleration I hear a slightly pronounced metal tick sound that I never heard when before when I first got it. I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima Automatic and was wondering if maybe my transmission fluid should be flushed. Any suggestions or answers would be welcome.

That's gonna be hard to 'diagnose'... check your ATF color and level for starters... You should do a drain, refill every year IMO even though it only changes out about 1/2 the fluid.

The sound may be unrelated to your Auto altogether, however.

Welcome to the board... good luck!

Thanks

Thanks, I haven't changed my fluid yet so that probably is the problem, its kind of a light brown color, I'm going to get my transmission serviced just in case
