I got a 90 se 5 spd
210 k on it, tokicos .. towers struts V tires few more things....
it might need a new one(belt)
did one at 120 K.... grins

How often do they fail?

whats the average price to get done...
i heard 300 zx was 800$
I did last one My self it was a pain(!)

Did any one have one fail?

I like the max and want another newer5 speed
I read they have bearing troubles and do they
need belts too?

any other maitentnce things I should expect on
new Maximas?

95 and up don't have belts.. they have timing chains..

 

and also the 92-94 SEs also don't have belts!

the original post is confusing as hell, but yeah if you have a 90SE, THEN YES YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE BELT every 60-70k!!
