Walbro GSS342 fuel pump installation done...
Took many pictures... another HOW2 page to do in the next few week... blah! <<<<DONE - Link below>>>>
The Walbro GSS342 pump is really quiet so far... I think it's even quieter than stock and much quieter than when the inline pump was going full time.
Question... I've disabled my inline pump while boosting to redline... my peak EGT went from 710C to about 740C... still safe I'm assuming...
I don't think I'm gonna put in my SARD FPR, then... doesn't seem like I need it... I thought I was gonna run rich with the Walbro 255lph High-Pressure pump but it seems I'm running slightly leaner (which is nearer to optimum EGT of 780C?)

Two things you might want to add.
When putting the sender assembly back into the tank with the big o-ring, it might help by not putting the hose clamp on the fuel line at first. This way it gives the hose a chance to rotate and eliminate the chance of it being kinked. Then lift it back up a little and put the hose clamp in correct position.
Pay attention to the harness that's inside the tank. Make sure it's route it the same way so it doesn't interfere with the fuel level gauge sender. If not, fuel level gauge sensor might get caught and your fuel tank might not ever read full or empty.

If I'm reading this post correctly you don't "need" the vortech inline pump at all if you have a high flow????

Assuming my OMORI EGT is accurate enough, it would seem so. The EGT did go up slightly but it is still very much in the "safe zone" it would seem.
MardiGrasMax is also just running the 255 hi pressure Walbro alone, IIRC.
I'll be taking off the T-Rex and Hobbs switch soon.

IMPROPER INSTALLATION OF THE FUEL SYSTEM MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE IN SERVICING THE FUEL SYSTEM, THEN HAVE A REPUTABLE MECHANIC DO THE INSTALLATION. THIS PAGE IS MEANT ONLY TO BE A GUIDE BY DOCUMENTING THE INSTALLATION OF A WALBRO 2nd Gen DSM FUEL PUMP ON MY 1997 NISSAN MAXIMA SE WITH A VORTECH V2 SUPERCHARGER
