Does Taking Off Weight Help In Racing?

hey guys,

i have a maxima 1998gxe stock with NO mods done to it yet.

after i get an intake, exhaust and y-pipe i am assuming after my
reasearch that i will have 210-220 HP.

there is a body shop in chicago that completely strips down
cars like ACURA's,CIVICS and MAXIMA's and does work on the
body that REDUCES THE WEIGHT BY 100 LBS.

my question: DOES REDUCING THE WEIGHT HELP IN A BETTER LAUNCH
and PICK UPS GOIN 60MPH??????

thanks.

having one thread about the same thing is enough, there is no need to post it in two forums

Adding weight doesn't help. The weight needs to be taken off in the right places, depending on what kind of racing you are doing.

call me crazy, but is it really necessary to pay someone to do weight reduction ......I mean maybe if you're a pro racer or something, but seriously.....
