VQ30DET Internals

Would the internals from the VQ30DET be a direct replacement for the parts in the none turbo VQ?? (Hogan??)

talk to Tilleys99.. he's putting a vq30 in his max.. the entire thing.

i think hes using the vq30de block and putting the vq30det head with manifold. i remember him posting a pic of the i/m, that ish had no runners.

Yes, the parts do fit!

I have the 9:1 pistons, valve springs, and rings in my VQ30DE. They fit like they were made for my engine. I questioned the guys at JWT and they said don't bother swapping the heads or crank because they're too close in performance to warrant the expense. I shot peened my rods to beef them up, balanced the motor, did a 3 angle valve job, cc'd the heads, and gasket matched and ported the intake and exhaust manifolds. The new motor will be installed next monday and by the way, I have the first set in the USA of new hotter billet cams installed!! Yes, all 4 beauties just dropped right in and fit perfectly. I also have 395 injectors, 300 ZX mass air sensor a 255 high flow walbro fuel pump, V2 super charger upgraded with a mustang impeller and a 3.125 pulley yielding 12-14 lbs boost,a Vortech air to water aftercooler, water injection and a JWT 45 shot of N20 for extra low end torque. I'll keep you guys posted when we fire it up next week! As I previously noted, JWT told me to run the stock plugs with this set-up

ummmmm....$8 Kodak disposable camera or a nice little cheap Polaroid digital one for $30..I'm sure you can afford that since you've got a custom turbo right???

saw some at Wal Mart a few months back...it was like $40-50 bucks I think...DEFINENTLY nothing of serious quality, but a digi camera none the less!

Ron, this set up according to JWT will only support ~410bhp. Perhaps you should consider larger NISMO 550cc injectors. Your motor is surely capable of supporting more than ~410bhp.

What wastegate and bov are you using??
I'm guesing you just bolted the turbine to the e/m because i don't any "custom piping from the turbo to the cooler to the e/m"??

Come on guys. We all know how it is. If he has it and is not giving out info or if he doesn't have it and is lying, it's the same result.

If you are curious to know if he has it or not, just look at their old posts and come to your own conclusions. Why someone would post some mods and try to argue themselves silly vs just showing a pic or two is beyond me though(IMHO)
