Just Got My Modified.com Mag!

I have to say, that this mag rocks. For the first issue, that was so sweet. I love the real import kind of mags, not the riceboy stuff. Hope you guys get out there and become the next superstreet!

Hey, I got it too looks great. Finally a Mag devoted to making cars go faster vs making them look faster or sound faster.

Can't wait to see what the Project DSM does as well, I love watching those cars come off the line.

Gives a new meaning to the word Supra, the slowest one is still in the 10's.

Just a bit too quick for my Max but alas maybe some day.

I think the free part is over. It was posted on here a couple of times I think the first year is free.
Check out the Titan Motorsports Supra on page 22. He just ran a 9.02 last weekend and has 1100 HP at the crank.
Its driven on the street and runs with street legal tires.

MB1 its the first issue give them a bit of time. I think it actually has more content than a lot of magazines twice as thick because they are all ads.

Yeah, i got mine free. i forgot that i signed up for it.
its soo good im surprised it was free. yeah that Eclipse build up is interesting. the Top Secret Supra wasnt anything new to me, but it doesnt mention anything about the nissan engine
also the Subaru engine upgrade is a god send (ive been wanted to get more power out of my moms Outback, not to mention see how that little funky thing looks on the inside.

and the rotary engine, im trying to get an RX7 from my uncle. this mag has taught me soo much, ive run out of stuff to read though.
i was gonna write the editor and tell him good job. maybe ill link him to this post. hey we might get mentioned in the next issue.
didnt focus on maximas too much, ok at all, but at least its staying away from being pure honda and stuff, its got a good variety.

i also liked the coverage of the Summit Drags 200mph Import challenge, that celica is $25,000 richer now.

i forgot the page, but theres a skyline in one of the "race sections" and in the pictures of the party thing that theyre having, one of the girls in next to a viper, looks like its had its share of the road too, (inner fender).

yeah the choice of articles is great and the choice to focus mainly on REAL import racing is good, but yeah, the content is lacking! its free so I ain't complaining!

Um, can I get one? I've barely had time to be on the .org lately with work and a girl and friends and my girl's beaten-on car.

They should put in of our turbo or Sc guys in there. I think only the 1st issue is free because it doesnt say on the address label when the subscription ends.

what part do you mean content is lacking? just want more articles or were the articles them self not as detailed as you would like?
im just curious, i really liked the engine building, but i can see what you mean if the articals themselve lacked some detail. kinda cool how the writers right, then again, im really used to 4wheeler and off-road

im soo happy i know how the Rotary engine works now
also that i can see the inside of my moms, but i dont think he will care if i get more power in it (ie, she wont fund it and neither will I, but it would be nice to get that thing running alittle bit better)

it didnt feel like a normal free magizine, and the $4.50 newsstand price scared me alittle (unknown charges, who knows).
MrGone

we might be able to send them maxima articles, like someone said, turbo maximas :P

First 4 issues are free if you signed up. That will take you until Jan because it is bi-monthly.

the content of the articles and just the "feel" of the mag just didn't pull me enough, it kinda reminded me of a oversized newsletter rather than a import mag.....I still think SCC is the best of the best when it comes to import mags though, just my opinion!!

What one of my friends does (a girl) is subscribe to a magazine under a different name, but with you address. They'll keep sending them for a while until they notify you and tell you to pay. Then you say, who? no one by that name lives there...

lol, it's dirty, but it's a bit clever on my freind's part.

DA-MAX: Does SCC mean Sport Compact Car? i just wanna make sure so i know what to look for next time i by an magizine isle. it kinda makes me mad that alot of the ads are for hondas and mitshubsi (i know spelling) and toyota. its sad, but hey, not much we can do about it.

also TurDz, isnt that bound to catch up with her? i would think that they would know that people would try that.

later guys

yup...IMO the variety and content is the best out there for imports, of course they have their usual rice articles here and there, but I just enjoy reading it more. but maybe the next 3 issues of Modified will change my mind.
