Hey guys...I read the post about the dimpled rotors that are being
offered by raceconcepts.net and thought I'd share my own experience with purchasing rotors...

I opted to not go with the dimpled drilled rotors because I didn't think heat would dissipate as well as the rotors that are completely drilled through, so I found this guy named Elvis from iRotors.com

He hooked me up with a pretty decent deal. Since I live in Southern CA, I was able to pick up and get all four rotors for $200. I called him and asked him about group buys, and he told me he'd hook up Maxima.org members with the price of $210 shipped anywhere in the continental U.S. Yes you heard it, shipping included. CA residents of course need to add sales tax.

If you guys are interested, e-mail him at sales@iRotors.com

What year/s Maximas are these rotors for? Also, do you have your choice of either crossdrilled OR slotted, or can you get ones that are both crossdrilled AND slotted?

Hey,
I have a quick question. Somebody posted a comment about the dimpled/slotted rotors that seemed weird. They said that after installing them they noticed an annoying whirring sound everytime they applied the brakes. Have you noticed this with the crossdrilled/slotted rotors? I would like to get a set but I'm going to pass if it means more noise.

He says these rotors will fit Maximas made from 1989-2001. (For certain years the rotors are different, but in general, he can get the rotors for any year that you need.)

Orders can be made custom. If you opt to not get drills and slots, you can always request for just drills or just slots. I myself got a set a front/rear cross drilled & slotted rotors and my ride has been terrific. As of today, I have no problems to report... For me, I haven't yet noticed any whirring sounds when my brakes are applied.

Just want to say I recieved my dimpled rotors, and am very pleased with how they look. They can dissipate heat like fully drilled rotors, and since they arent drilled all the way through they prevent cracking. Drilling all the way through is for looks mainly, they might be able to dissipate a little more heat, but Id rather have the security of knowing it wont crack. Just my .02!

I spoke to Elvis over at iRotors and he assured me that if any of the rotors cracked, just let him know and he'll take care of it. He hasn't had any reports of it being cracked and you could check out his site for more info at www.iRotors.com.

Besides paying good money for the rotors, don't you want something that'll actually work instead of just looking good? I think the dimples will eventually hold in dust and create squeaking noises.

He uses Bradi rotors, which are also made in Italy just like Brembo.

Are the prices the same for 2k2 rotors? Also, what are the guarantees against warping and the like?

SoundMike, you aint getting no rotors from this deal. Problem is that the 2k2 Fronts are a bit bigger. So no one has figured out the size to make them yet.

BTW, I dont have any problems with noise or anything with my rotors. Just cause one person has noise, dont mean they all bad. Maybe his aint installed right or his pads are messed up.

Dixit, yep. I know, but it doesn't hurt to ask . I can't even order one anymore - but at least the idea is being presented for other 2k2 owners
