Brembo Group Deal...
Hey guys whats up. I have had some of you guys PM me about rotors and I got a shop that will give the group deal. Here is the info on the rotors...
- They are real Brembo's
- X-Drilled/Slotted rotors
- 89-01 Nissan Maxima's (Thats what he told me Im not sure if they are all the same if someone can let me know that would be appreciated.)
- The rotors will be $155 for the front pair
- I need at least 3 people for this deal.
I think I can also get a group deal on Willwood's also, so let me know if you guys are interested on this one also.
Let me know ok guys.
You can email me at capq45@aol.com also.

Yes they are cad plated rotors. Come on guys I know a lot of you guys wanted these before. Now I got them and no one wants them. Email me or just reply to this thread and I will get back to you ASAP.

Perhaps maybe because a bunch of people already bought/buying from the Raceconcepts group deal (ongoing) which Dixit organized?
A bit cheaper too.

The groupbuy was for "dimpled drilled/slotted" rotors which doesn't help dissipate heat at all IMO. AND, if the holes aren't drilled all the way through, where is the heat dissipating through?
It just doesn't make any sense for someone just to "dimple" the rotors and claim that it makes the rotors stronger since its all merely for looks!
Just my .02 cents!

Actually, dimples makes sense as far as strength goes. Normally, x-drilled can cause cracking with time due to the drilling process.
As far as heat dissipation goes, i wouldn't know myself but the idea is that the dimples offer a pocket into which the gases can expand. Then when the dimple is past the pad area, the gas expands out of the dimple and goes away.
My 2c as well

That sounds good too but I contacted Brembo's engineer rep. and they weren't too thrilled that someone is actually 'claiming' that the dimples were stronger than the regular cross drilled like what Brembo have been doing forever now because if all drilled rotors were cracking, there wouldn't be a place for cross drilled rotors in this market, which was a good point. Also, he pointed out that dimples make the brake dust get trapped inside the holes and it will eventually lead to squealing brakes, as reported by most members, and eventually warp the hell out of the rotors.
I dunno, I guess its all a matter of what you think is good for your safety and the engineers over at Brembo really explained it thoroughly.
