I just want to make sure we hit 30 orders. I'm going to send to first bunch of 15 out on Friday. For those that are in the Socal area and are planning to go to the Stillen Day event, I can give you the wire kits there...save on shipping, and we can install them on the street. (takes 15 minutes tops).

Oh yes, someone asked for the thickness...it looks like 4 gauge to me.
I'm out of the office, but plan on paypaling you Thursday/Friday. If I do so, when can you ship mine out? Also Kevin, were you able to find the best mounting points for my 2k2?

I'll be sending out the first bunch on Friday (so far I've received 18 payments). The kit includes installation instructions, but I think it'd be easier to just take digital snap shots of my engine bay. The 2K2 ground points should be the same as my 97 (same engine and component locations minus the valve cover).

So... if I send Paypal today, can you ship tomorrow? Also, unfortunately our cars don't have the same engine. Any other suggestions? Does anyone else here have a 2k2?

Yes, I can send yours out tomorrow. I know the engines are different (you lucky duck, have 65HP more than me) but everything is in the same location. You battery is where my battery is, your intake is where mine is, etc.

The only difference is the color of the wires. As far as feeling the increase, I think it only gives about +4hp or so, so I don't think you're going to really feel that.

Kev, did you ship the wires just yet?

Kev,

I sent my payment via Paypal on September 24...and it's been almost 2 weeks without any news from you.

Did you get a chance to ship those orders....I was expecting it to arrive by the end of this week.

Let me know,

Armand

UPDATE!!
I have 21 payments currently. I was planning on sending out the first set of 15 out last Friday, but my distributor was busy with the big Port of LA strike thing. I called him on Monday and he told me that he'll get the order ready tomorrow for me to pick up. I have class pretty much all day (from 11-7:30pm) so it'll have to wait till Thursday. I made the order for 25 units. If anyone still wants in on the deal and has not contacted me, let me know ASAP. For those that are going to the Stillen event we can do the transaction there and even install it on the spot. I'll keep you all updated and let you all know your tracking numbers on Thursday.

Yeah, I'm sorry guys. I wanted to take care of the group deal and split it into two waves so people wouldn't have to wait. But as you can see, I only have 21 payments though many more expressed interest. I don't want to get stuck with an extra kit more or less 9 kits. To be honest, I'm probably making $.95 per order or something. I'm not out to make money, I'm just trying to get everyone a good deal on a good mod. So, since I'm not trying to make money, I'm trying even harder to not lose money. So, Thursday it is! Again, I'm sorry. I just wish that those that say they'd order would order. Luckily my distributor will hold the same price for 25 orders.

Kev,

Thanks for letting us know about the update. I heard about the LA Port Authority thing as well.....good that those guys straighten up things.

I was hoping that you could ship the thing last Friday so that I could install it before I leave for New York (VB Mod). You know, I could always the extra mpg for this 2000 miles round trip to New York.

However, all is not lost. I am postphoning my trip to Detroit/New York until Monday next week, so please let me know if you could really ship those things on Thursday. I am assuming you are going to use USPS Priority Mail or something?

As long as I could get a hold of those by Monday morning, then everything is fine. Otherwise, I will let you know my address in Detroit (please check your PM).

Thanks for all your efforts in taking care this GD for us. That extra dollar per order might not reflect the time you put on this, but I am pretty sure that we could be happier by sharing your gain on the dyno....

Armand
ps: sorry for the long post guys....

Right on Kev! Keep us posted! I sure hope you can get those out by Thursday.

BTW, anyone installing their set on Stillen day and have a '02, could you take some pics of what mounting points you found to be good? Thanks!

ONE MORE UDPATE!

I finally have the kits in my hands!! After a few hassles and setbacks, the deal is done. First, I found out that the distributor gets a 3% fee for using credit cards...they'd let me slide this time, but I thought to keep a good relation (plus they really aren't making money per individual...they are making their deal through volume) I thought I'd just run to the bank and pay them that way. Unfortunately, I stopped by Fed-ex to send some off and was overwhelmed with the paper work. I decided that I couldn't get them all done before they closed, so I just took some slips home.

I have just finished the forms and currently have 20 kits ready to be sent Fed-ex Ground (estimated time from CA to NY is 5 days), 1 kit ready for USPS to Hawaii, and 1 kit for pick-up. That leaves me with 3 kits for the following: Dave, Matthel?, Brian.

For those of you that are either still interested, couldn't get the payment out in time, or was just waiting around to see if others are happy with the wires, I'll try and do another group deal in a month or so. Expect the price to go up just a few dollars since I don't think the volume is going to be as high.

Kev,

Thank you for letting us know about the wires. I cancelled my trip to Detroit (and hence my VB mod) until next week. Hopefully I could receive my wires by next week.

Thanks,

You are the man! Let's see, if it went out today, I SHOULD get it either Monday or Tuesday. I've ordered a lot of stuff USPS so I've gotten the timeframe down pat.

Much Mahalos!

Monday: Tracking and picture

Kev,

I am still waiting for my tracking number since I haven't got one from you. Hopefully you did get my order shipped.

In the mean time, I am still able to host the picture for your setup. Please e-mail me those pictures and I will bring it up by tomorrow afternoon. I will post the link to this thread once it's up.

I am leaving for Detroit tomorrow, so if you want me to host them, please send me the files tonight.

I tried to send everyone their tracking numbers but heres the list of numbers, destinations, and who they're likely to be:
045796247848071 .....Seattle (Daniel W)
045796247848101 .....Augusta (Matt D)
045796247848163 .....Scottsdale (Mark Z)
045796247848262 .....Lowell (Chan Y)
045796247848378 .....Cataumet (Sam T)
045796247848422 .....Syracuse (Paul G)
045796247847548 .....Maspeth (Danny L)
045796247847623 .....Fort Collins (Ryan S)
045796247847708 .....Methuen (Daniel H)
045796247847869 .....Golden (Jason C)
045796247847937 .....Milwaukee (Armand A)
045796247847982 .....Houston (Tan H)
045796247848538 .....San Pablo (Richard O)
045796247847364 .....Lawrenceville (Wayne R)
045796247847432 .....Camp Hill (Jeffrey F)
045796247847463 .....Fremont (Jack H)

I hope I have not felt anyone feeling violated with this information. I just ask that you use your own corresponding tracking number. If anyone wants their info removed, just let me know...but your address does not show up on the tracking. Install pictures were given out to Armand and hopefully he can host them.

Yeah, I apologize for that. I think the haste at the Fed-Ex counter, the clerk just scrambled to place the tracking stickers on each sheet. Some of them don't correspond and others are duplicates. The final sticker had all the tracking numbers on it, so I just looked at the destination and posted the reply above to straighten things out. I'll get Travis' tracking number tomorrow. His is through USPS.
