Wow! This thread has gone a long way!
Anyway, have you guys tried calling the # and following up with them? The deal was pretty well publicized and they're probably having a hard time keeping up with the orders.

I got the gear today!... Can't wait to install it & activate service.
When I asked her during the call, she said "you can activate online, or through the Sirius activation number"
So I guess it's cool to do it online & save $$$$
Later,
G

BWUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
got my gear. promptly hooked it up to a spare computer powersupply. activated service. modded the cable. listened through headphones (read: no FM modulation). will install in car tomorrow. complete success with my idea on how to mod it for an aux input. I dont have pix since the digicam is out of town at present, but i can explain what i did.
Materials Needed:
Wire Wrapping Tool
Wire Wrap (30AWG wire)
headphone jack or stereo female RCA jacks, however your aux input works.
Method:
The cable being modded, is the large 13 pin connector from the tuner to the modulator box.
Wrap the 3 terminals described later with the wire wrap.
Run tail of wire through the hole on the connector.
Attach proper wire to proper receptacle on jack.
Which Connecting Pins you ask?
Ok, look at the connector with the one odd pin at the top.
the first row below that, very left pin, and the pin below that are the left and right sound pins. I forget which is which right now, but will look it up tomorrow. then, in the same row as the bottom pin, two pins to the right, thats the audio ground that must be hooked up to the ground of both channels jacks.
dont quote me on the above, i dont have my materials in front of me, but i will verify things in the morning. it is VERY easy and took me all of 5 min to do. well worth it IMO.
i know my explination is not great, so please ask questions on anything i was not clear about.
ENJOY!

yayeee u finally got ur stuff and hooked it all up.. will u still be taking pix of the modification since it's already installed??? man o man i can't wait to activate mine.
I'm installing mine later on, but will do a temporary install to get it activated. I'm taking a trip in March and will be taking it with me, but I'm not driving my car.
When you did the install:
1) Where did you mount the tuner box?
2) Where did you mount the controller?
3) Since you didn't use the FM modulator, did you using a casette adapter? Or do you have an aftermarket HU?
4) What power source(s) did you use to power it?
5) Did you mount the antenna on a piece of metal on the rear deck? Or did you just place it there?
6) Is your rear window tinted? If so, how dark is it?
I'm working on a way to use the factory CD changer wires as an Aux input. More info will come once I have the schematics of the HU.

Under the passenger seat, I still need to bolt it down.
2) Where did you mount the controller?
In the glove box.

I have an aftermarket HU with AUX in. See website.
4) What power source(s) did you use to power it?
I tapped the wire harness for the HU. I am not sure which colors are needed for stock wiring.
5) Did you mount the antenna on a piece of metal on the rear deck? Or did you just place it there?
I used velcro.
6) Is your rear window tinted? If so, how dark is it?
15% tint, VERY dark. No drop outs yet.

Good luck, I am sure many people will appreciate that.
I installed mine today. The sound is ok, for FM modulated. I'm still on the BOSE HU for now, but am working on getting a CD changer hack going soon. The install took me forever, but only because I am picky.
I mounted the FM modulator next to the glove box behind the radio. I mounted the actual tuner box in the trunk behind the carpet on the passenger's side. I love the invisible look. I mounted the controller up by the rear view mirror. But on the driver's side, and velco'd it to the windshield. That will have to do until I can fabricate a new place for it. The antenna is mounted on the rear deck, with the wires coming out of the hole where the BOSE sub was. The sub was removed awhile back because of my new sub installation.
The wiring wasn't difficult, but took me some time because of my 289182 alarm parts and my sub wiring. I took the time to run the power wires for the tuner box down the driver's side of the car, rather than tapping some BS source in the trunk. The satellite has it's own circuit. Triple fused (just ended up that way - wasn't designed).
All in all, it took about 4 hours to do, but is completely stealth unless you look for it. I'll let you know more about how I like it later. For now, I'm tired. I'm going to bed. peace.

Well, here's my feedback...
I'm using the FM modulator because my Bose doesn't accept Aux inputs (yet). The bass is non-existent. And I have the modulator at the highest setting (4) and it's still lower volume than the other radio stations. My average listening volume is 11 to 13 on normal radio/CDs, but with the satellite radio it's up to 19-23 just to achieve the same loudness. I've posted a question over at clubxm.com's forums to see if there is anything I can do to fix this.
The Orlando, FL area doesn't seem to have repeaters. If they do, they are not in my part of town. I had some dropouts today while up in Lake Mary/Sanford area. I'll play around with the antenna a little over the next few days when I get the car back. The car is in shop this week getting odometer and clutch replaced - under warranty - again!!!!
I'll post more as time progresses.

For the FM Modulator, I found power in the console wiring. There was a 4-terminal plug that was not used and taped to the wiring on the handbrake switch. I tested the terminals and found thme to be ground, 12v, and 2 acc terminals. Perfect.

So just dig around under the handbrake boot/console area?

It's taped to the wire that is hooked up to the handbrake assembly.

As I said, it's a 4 terminal plug. Sort of a cube shaped connector. It has one fat black wire and 3 green and yellow wires hooked up to it. If you put spade terminals on your FM mod wires, they will plug right in. ( hacked off the plug)
