If you don't want the deluxe kit you can always upgrade to the regular kit for $85 and the price is still just $605...still a really good deal considering the deluxe kit is regularly $649. Just to let you know the vinyl is a high-grade material and is hard to tell apart from the leather w/o touching it and even then...

that is still a SICK deal..

i believe leatherseats.com sells theirs the same way.. vinyl sides and back.. leather seating surface..

which is all still far better than OEM crap leather.. which feels like vinyl everywhere

Yes...leatherseats.com does sell it the same way and its the same Katzkin kit. With any leather kit the sides and back are always vinyl so that the cover can stretch as needed. Leather won't stretch and if the seat was completely leather it would bust at the seems or it would have to be baggy and would look awful. The difference between a Deluxe and Regular kit is only on the back seats and door panel inserts...front seats are identical.

A DELUXE kit has a leather/vinyl blend on the the rear seat with the inserts as leather and the rest is a high-grade vinyl. The doors are also vinyl. On a REGULAR kit the seating surface in the back seats is all leather and the doors are leather as well.

However you slice it...its an awesome deal. So get it while you can or you'll be .

Is it possible to get the seat portion preforated(not just holes, but punched)? I think it would make the seat breath easier...also, do you recommend to put it over the existing cloth seats and stitch it in, or should we tear the cloth out and just stitch the leather instead?

Perforation is only available as and insert or center. As far as the install goes these are stitched covers exactly like your existing cloth. You will have to remove the cloth and install respective leather cover just as the cloth was installed. No stitching required. This is the only way to do this. The covers will be manufactured in the same fashion as a factory cloth cover...except its leather.

How much to have the upgraded kit installed? can I get a price for the whole thing installed?

 

The upgrade to a regular kit will increase the price by $85. Installation for all the of the seats and door panels would run $400. You're probably looking at about $1000 out the door.

Can't wait to see some pics, James...Can you give me some 2 tone suggestions for a frost interior...I was looking at doing a beige color exterior with a brown suede insert...what colors would you suggest?

 

Just for starters the color match for Nissan Frost is Katzkin Puddy. If you wanted to do some suede combos I would suggest the dark taupe or medium taupe suede, but thats only my opinion.

so when I call in and order this on monday, how long is it going to take to get the kit made? 2 days to make the kit, 7 to ship, or so? I'm gonna be doing the sandstone with dark taupe suede inserts, contrast double stiching, Maxima embroidered #495, and an install kit

I will be talking to you monday morning, just have to wait for my tax return check to clear the bank

 

The kit will probably take 2 days to make and about 7 to get to me where I'll inspect it for accuracy, through the install kit in the box and send it on to you...about 2 weeks or so. I have Monday off so call me on Tuesday. Thanks
