I want to convert to 3000gt rotors with my 300zx calipers. The bracket for the conversion costs about $250 that is totally outrageous.

I have a place that will make a braket for me. these rotors are 12.5.

Stock brake lines work, (i am getting some ss ones made for this conversion, hope to post them up soon.)

I am looking to see if people with 300zx calipers want to do this conversion. I will get the bracket and have them made.

Cost? not sure on the total but it will be around 100 or so.

things you need to do this conversion

300zx TT(30 mm) iron or aluminum calipers (150-200)

Hardware for the conversion ?(100)?
(which i hope to get made)

1994-1998 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Rotors (139)

SS brake lines (optional) (80-100)
(which i hope to get made)

brake pads (30-60)

feel free to ask any questions or give suggestions on prices on the conversion items

will this fit inside 16 inch 300zx rims?

what is the best bang for the buck lightest rim that could fit this upgrade?

i fail to see why the rotor itself sucks? bad quality? not thick enough?

anyways, If your gonna use the bracket you get off me and have someone design it for you, juss have it spaced out a bit more so you dont have to mill the rotor. Not as simple as that but should be fairly easy, espically for a machine shop.

Definitely interested

I'm interested, especially if you don't have to get the rotors milled down and if there's any way to not require shaving the suspension pieces (control arm?).

If there a template drawing, I could test it against a 300ZX rim I have in my basement to see if it fits. That would definitely increase interest I think

Any word on the brackets?
When you say stock brake lines, do you mean Maxima or 300ZX ones?

The bracket will work the same for 5th gens as it will for 4th gens..There is one 5th gen that already has this 3000gt upgrade done on his car

last i checked the offset of the 3000GT rotor puts the caliper/brake rotor closer to the wheel. i'm not talking about the 3mm but how far the caliper goes in from the face of the wheel.

safe to assume wheel spacers will be needed? if so how much does it need?
