update~

Anyone who lives in the Northeast experienced crappy weather at some point this weekend. We've gotten 30mph+ wind on Saturday, then rain. Sunday we got hail, freezing rain and now snow.

Sorry about the delay in getting installs done (and pics). I will extend the groupdeal deadline until April 12th, 2003.

Meanwhile, my 6500K is almost sold out (have a few sets left). My regular price at the store is $365 (white or blue) and $375 (purple). I may be out of stock by the time the groupdeal closes. If anyone wants 6500K HIDs NOW (without waiting for the groupdeal), I can offer it at 10% discount off the my regular price for the few sets I have left.

MdMaxDrvr: You'll be able to get the nice sharp white, with a hint of blue in the HID kits I'm selling.

Any explanation is appreciated. Thank you for you time

1995 GXE....almost stock
No fitment issues. It comes with wiring harness and instructions. The only you may have to do is to re-aim your headlights down a little so that the HID output isn't as annoying to the oncoming traffic... very easy to do.. takes only a few minutes. I live in a small town in NJ where the cops have nothing better to do except to set up speed traps and pull over any car with tint. I haven't had problems with my HIDs in my town.

How do HID lights do in wet conditions? Right now I am using some Eurolite fake HID bulbs and they are absolutly horrible in when the ground is wet. If HIDs eliminate this problem, I am more likely to jump on the GD.

thanks,

the 6500K or 8500K is brighter than the stock TL headlights. Heck, the 6000K HID kit that I'm running in my Max gives the TLs a run for their money ANY day of the week. Too bad I don't have hi beam

We're down to a few sets. I try to pick up the 6500K HIDs. I was only able to pick up the 8500K HIDs (I only did 1 install today.. it was 40 degrees out).

hi ange,

does the 8500k make a noticeable change in the amount of vision during the night as compared to the 6500k when you are driving?

It's definitely brighter, it's a hot item here in NYC area b/c a lot of customers like it 'for show'. In terms of practicality, I would suggest re-aiming the headlights a bit once you switch from regular lightbulbs to HIDs.

For which kit? All of them or just a certain few. The reason I ask it usually the more color u get the less the lumens u have. Still gonna have more then 2X the light output of normal headlight but just wondering.

The pic of the 8500k purple looks sweeet. How much of a difference is there between teh 6500k purple and the 8500k purple? Is the 8500k purple brighter? Or just more purple?

the 8500K HID kits are much brighter, same pinkish-purple tint .. it's pretty sick if you see it at night. I would highly suggest that you'd re-aim the headlights (5 minute job) if you're using it as a daily driver.

We have about 10 people needed for the groupbuy.

Again, I'm down to a few sets of 6500K HID kits at the shop. If you really want to get the 6500K, order from me this week and I'll give you 10% off the store price. Price comes out to be:
6500K (Blue) for $328.50
6500K (Purple) for $337.50

At least you'll have it before it's sold out.

Are the prices a little higher than those on teh first page because there are only 10 people instead of 20? Also are these prices shipped? One mroe question, the 6500k blue, how blue is it? I used to have a 6000k kit and it was almost all white with a small hint of blue? Thanks!

The prices at the shop is $365 and 375 (blue/purple respectively). I'm just offering the option of 10% off the store price right now in case I'm sold out on the 6500K kits by the time groupdeal wraps up.

Shipping charge would be the same thing, $10 anywhere within Continental US, $20 to Hawaii, PR and Canada.

It's like a baby blue tint (6500K or 8500K).

The prices seem pretty good....
what brand are the bulbs, and how reliable is the brand Lajaking/Soya? I've never heard of this manufacturer before.

does everything fit well upon installing the kit, or do modifications need to be made? thanks.

Everything fit just like any other HID kits you buy these days. No modification needed. Ballast, starter, relay, bulbs. If it isn't reliable, I wouldn't give 9 month product warranty.

I am still really interested but I definitely cannot purchase one with out the GD price, I am lacking funds. If you guys get 20 I would still be in. The GD price seems a little more than cost and that is the type of deal I am looking for.
