EXCITING NEWS! - New 4th gen Bodykit almost ready...

IBI-Bodykits located in Ontario, Canada is near completion of the 4th gen Maxima kit. As I'm sure many of you will agree, this kit looks very sharp - aggressive yet smooth flowing. Perfectly suitable for the Max. The 1/8" or thicker (no-less) gel-coated fiberglass bodykit consist of full replacement front/rear bumper and side skirts. The grill is intergrated so fits 95-99 with no grill swap. Jeff @ IBI is a Nissan enthusiasts himself so he takes much pride in creating this kit. He has done and is currently working on kits for the Nissan Altima. Jeff, Maximamark and myself have work very close to ensure this kit is produced to perfection and suits our finer taste. Price is $875 but $799 USD through Torontomaxima.com. We need 3 pre-orders to push this kit into the final stages. Expect completion in 1 months time. Any questions or comments, please post, email me or pm. Thanks guys!

The pic you have is not proportioned right. A bumper cover that big would be sitting on the tarmac!

I compared a quick side by side of a Maxximum Tuning's Skyline/TypeS.
I know my photoshop skill aren't fantastic (especially since it isn't photoshop and instead Macromedia Fireworks which I happened to have on my laptop at the time of drawing) and your prob all right that it is out of proportion but of course it's only for ideas till the final product is ready. Take that into consideration and that when you look at a car heads on, it'll always look bigger. Besides the size, any other comments or suggestions you guys may have?

Well it comes back to this, at least for me. The size is well, we know. Im not worried since where i live any body kit might be to much, but its definately too much like the Type-S kit. Aside from having a sort of different mid section and the lack of opening for the stock bumper lights. Its not all the original, and that is what is going to kill it, specially since its fiberglass, and pricing is higher than the Type-S, I think if some one were looking for a kit like that the Type-S would be the way to go. 1. Its already been made, now in Poly-U even. 2. Little Cheaper. 3. Relatively the same feel/look. There have been quite a few kit mock ups made by a few different Org members that are more conservative, yet at the same time stylish that I would like to see put into production. Main one that comes into mind was chopped onto a grey maxima by gtr-rider. If this kit is not in the begining stages yet, molding cuts out etc. It might be worth taking a look at some of these other ones that have been mocked. I know the one i mentioned previously did get good response, and with its size/dimesions it could be easily made from Poly-U and kept around the same price.

Here is a suggestion.. Find 5 Maxima Enthusiasts who had/have body kits on their car by (sarrona & skyline) and ask them how they would like the next kit to look and if they want fiber glass or poly. I personally don’t like the whole fiber glass idea, this is said from experience i have the sarrona kit for about 9 months now.

Since we are on the subject can the people who had the fiber glass kits on their cars please share your experiences with it ?

*on NY streets almost everyone with a body kit is on stock height or all scratched up at bottom.

just my 2 cents.

Many people try getting these deals to happen.. I tried once and failed miserably because I didn't want to work a lot for something that wouldn't sell.

One thing I can guarantee though, My sponsor likes the Sarona kit but upon reading the .org decided he wants to clone the kit.

We are located in CA, so whoever wants to ship their kit in to us, we'll send you back a higher quality kit as well as your original stuff.

Approximate price for a Sarona Clone kit in higher quality fiberglass will be between the $450 - $650 price range. Polyeurethane kits would cost around $800 - $1200. You get what you pay for, but the fiberglass the molder uses is very good quality.. i was surprised since i'd prefer a poly-u kit.. but the wallet won't allow it.

I totally agree with what everyone is saying. That kit is too big, change the signal marker holes, and just has too many holes in it in general, like the skyline. And then its fiberglass. We need a kit that styled like the stillen or sarona and is a bumper replacement but doesn't look as big as the that one does. As of right now, I'm looking for a kit for the summer. If sarona made a poly-U kit, that'd be my first choice. But otherwise, I'll head to southwest autoworks.

Exactly. It's too much. The photoshopped smaller one above was kinda nice looking, but that huge opening is just ridiculous and ricey. The Maxima is a classy car and any body kit has to be toned down and subtle.
