This is the new group deal for the Microvision 7"LCD Screen.
I am running a group deal for the microvision 7000bct 7" video screen. The screen has Rca video inputs, wireless remote and comes with the mounting bracket included.The screen can be hooked up to any video source that uses RCA jacks for output. DVD, VCR, Laptop with tv out, VIdeo game systems. Anything. This is the same screen mounted in my car on my homepage. This screen does fit in the headrests with no problems!!! Pearl96max(Don) says that he will discount the install of this screen for anyone who has purchased a screen from this deal. However for those more inclined to do the install yourself its not a very hard install. Its been done many ways so check the audio forum for info on the install.

The tv goes where your factory radio/cd player goes. Redmax has two links with pics. I have some to I can e-mail you if you me your address.

 

so if I hook up this tv, it will have live tv on or do I need a bypass switch, also is this a cd player, or do I have to get a cd player installed too. Are they any actualy pictures of what it looks like? Thanks

you'll need a Tv tuner to watch tv stations on the tv. You will need an after market radio after installation. Pics are in Redmax's link.

You can't put this into the dash of the 2003.

 

I have a 3rd Gen Max. Can someone post the dimensions of the screen to see if would fit behind my double din slot. For reference my double din slot can hold a 95 Double Din Bose Headunit which I have in there right now.

Second how is the viewing angle on the Microvison lcd? I was looking into purchasing an LCD that is in a swivel shroud so that I can accomodate the viewing angles. This was what I was looking at

And last Redmax stated it comes with a remote. So can the lcd be turn off and on or does it always come on when there is a video signal.

Yes this screen does fit in the 3rd gen. A friend of mine has installed one in his. he will post pics soon. Its his new secret so I will not post his name. The viewing angle is great. The only thing with his install was that he had to cut a lil plastic for the radio to fit below the screen. Its not as easy to install as the 4th gen but it will fit. Just takes a lil patience. The screen that you were looking at is nice, but you may have trouble in not being able to trim the mounting brackets on that screen because of the swivel. So, it may not fit.

Im just wondering.. If I decided to get a DVD player with my existing CD player, it doesnt look like I will have room for it in dash. I really dont want to get a video game system for the car, or a laptop. What would some suggestions be? Do they make CD/DVD combos now?

Yes, they do.

Almost every major manufacturer now makes a 1DIN sized DVD/MP3/CD/CDR player -- you buy cheapie ones too...but, even the cheapie ones are about $400+

I'm thinking of setting up my system in stages...
1) Deck with AUX IN
2) DVD player -- maybe under passenger seat, or in trunk
3) TV screen in the 2DIN space

it's cheaper...although, installation might offset this as there are more components to install (versus the all-in-one players).

You said the tv comes with a mounting bracket..Is this just a bracket to hold the TV in place or is it the paneling which is basically the dash that surrounds it? If so does it come with in wood grain? I have a wood grain drash so I'm weary of having to dremmel or customize anything with the installation.

Nore your screen has been shipped, The others will be shipped by monday. I recieve these screens from California and then shipp them out. it takes 5 days for me to get em.

If anyone is still interested in these screens let me know i have a few extras on their way.

for my 95 it didn't really slipp right in i had to cut all the extra sides off of it, because of the medal frame pieces on each side that hold the radio and other stuff, i had to drill new wholes in the peices

and i have the switch hooked up to the remote wire, the tv turns on automatically when the car goes on, and when i shut it off it turns off but when i go to turn it back on, IT WON"T GO BACK ON!
