I offered to help Dave through his problem by either replacing the piece giving him a problem or refunding his $ and he goes ahead and posts this nasty reply.

Please disregard this email as it is a blatant attack for no good reason.

As far as the quality of the pillars is concerned, these pillars are made for show room applications and LAST LONGER if the car is kept in a garage. Basic common sense. What Dave has not realized is that leaving the car in the hot sun causes damage to the entire car, not just the CF pillars. These pillars are made from the same material that the dash kits are made from.

I have had many satisfied customers - please do not allow DLICARI take away from my fine products.

Thank you for the support Maxima.org

If anyone is interested in receiving a copy of the email sent to me by Capvent, please let me know. The only part that is edited in the email you sent me is the part in Bold lettering above. I do realize that you are making an attempt to save face which is understandable however, my reputation here is spotless. I have bought from many memebers and sold to some as well with no problems as well as no misrepresentation.

The email you sent me was unprofessional and proved to me you are out to make a quick buck.

The email was posted here as a result of your lack of respect for your buyers and your inability to be honest and forthright concerning a product you represent.

I did not slander you I stated facts.

I appreciate your attempt to clean this up but the damage is done. I gave you a chance to make this right.
AT NO TIME DID YOU OFFER TO REFUND MY MONEY

Buyer beware as Capvent feels smart people shou;d be able to read his mind and determine that he is selling a product that will look significantly different a week after he sold it.

If you want yellow CF pillars, go for this deal. If you want CF pillars that look like they did when you bought them, go elsewhere!

capvent it is clear that you did not provide enought information and should have stated that the CF Door Pillars were made for indoor use only. If you want people to buy from you on the org from now on; you have to refund the money and state the conditions under which your products are made to function.

I would also take dlicari word over yours. He has been very helpful with my nitrous install and is actually getting me parts that I need just because he wants to help out a fellow org member.

I had a Stillen CF Kit, and I've had friends with the Joshua kits, and after 3 years they haven't changed in color at all.

So your statement about all non-factory installed kits doing this is a blatent lie.

capvent: This thread will be closed soon because you didn't tell people in the beginning that these were for showroom only. You're selling something for a car and you're saying the car has to be kept indoors after installation. This is a very poor excuse for solving the problem at hand. Just keep in mind that other people haven't complained yet.

It's all on you now.

The reason this effect is happening is because of the color of the carbon fiber on the pillars. It is a light color and does not take too well to the sun. I have never had this problem with mine because I use a sunstop material made by Turtlewax that blocks UV and sunlight on them. If all of you do the same, you will not have a problem.

With every aftermarket upgrade there is some level of maintenance that has to be done to keep it looking great. These pillars are NOT made the same way the CF hoods are so that is not a good comparison on manufacturing.

Those who purchased their pillars recently who have not shipped will have their $ back. I will paypal back soon.

Please keep in mind that this material is the same from the material that is made from the dash kits. The dash kits do not fade in the same manner because they are not OUTSIDE like the pillars are. Common Sense. If you guys find a pillar that is made any other way, please let me know.

What about other members who already had their go bad, it is up to you to rectify the situation and refund their money. Because you did not state all the facts. All good sellers list how the product should be used and under which conditions. When I bought my y-pipe, in bold letters it stated that it is made for off-road use, thus if I fail inspection I know the fault is on my part and not the company's.

I am not responsible for how you guys treat your cars. This is a very fragile modification no matter where you go. Ask anyone who is involved with the fabrication of these pillars.

My car is treated with the sunstop because I saw how they were manufactured. THE SAME WAY AS THE DASH KITS. That is why I took the extra preventative measure to keep them looking good. My materials are the same of the big names - Joshua Tree, Exotic Wood Dash etc. Order the same thing from them and it will do the same thing on the OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. That is the fact that you guys cannot understand. On the inside, this material will last FOREVER with no fading whatsoever, but once you expose it to the elements - SNOW, RAIN, SUN etc. - it will not hold up as well as on the inside because it is enclosed on the inside PROTECTING IT FROM THE ELEMENTS.

Only those who ordered theirs recently will be given a refund.

I think you should have let them know that at the beginning and then they could have made their decision whether or not that they wanted to buy them. You made no mention of possible fading if a sunstop wasn't used.

You should have stated that to keep the CF pillars looking good and not go bad to use a product to coat over it,thus it is your responsibility to refund and admit fault.

That top part of my Stillen kit above the radio was exposed to direct sunlight A LOT. My car never saw a garage, it spent a year in TX, and it would be burning hot to the touch, much like my entire interior. That piece did not look the slightest bit different then the other pieces in the kit, and if what you say is true then that piece should look different.

A non-tinted front windshield does not block the sun's harmful UV rays, it does not block the light produced from the sun, and it does not block heat, in fact the car itself concentrates heat in so it might even be hotter inside.

This is damage control and total BS. So when do I get my refund that you talked about earlier in this post that you said you emailed me about? {b]That was an outright lie[/b]

All of a sudden the Turtle Wax comes up.

How we treat our cars? We live on the planet Earth. The sun comes out.

Basically everyone on the first Group Deal is f$cked because you misrepresented this product to the Maxima community.

The reason I am ****ed is because your story keeps changing and it never gets better .

You lied publicly about the offer of a refund which was never proposed.

All of a sudden we need to use UV protection. Why did you not let everyone else know they need sunstop? WTF did you think, we all live in underground caves where the sun never shines.

I am hoping you will take the necessary steps to make this siuation right. When that happens I will be more than happy to offer a public apology and support your efforts.

As it stands right, now you are basically fleecing .org memebers with no regard for their interest or for the money they spent.

Hope you sleep well at night!

Mine turned yellow also. I emailed him also before this came out into the thread and basicly told em the same thing. The pillars could not hold up to the Texas sun(where i live) and their was nothing he could do. I immediatly new I was not getting a refund. Sucks for me.

WARNING...These are very big files. 1600X1200, I was too lazy to make them smaller. Also, these are not even a month old and they have not even seen 80 degree weather here in PA. They've seen more rain then sunny days actually.

Word to the wise, you are going to make trouble for yourself. You are at fault here because you didn't state that this materal was not to be used outside of the car. If that's they way you want to handle your business ripping people off, I'll make sure you don't sell anymore of these here on the org. It's your choice.

Common sense says you produce the product, you better stand by the product and give people the info needed before the purchase transaction. If you go to court, your going to lose anyway so why not fix the problem with your customers here and now. I'll give you until next Thursday before I delete this thread.

Deezo:

If you have the opportunity, could you PM me your email address. I would like to forward you the emails I have received from this seller.
I am shocked and surprised at the buyer beware attitude of this seller and will be pursuing it further.

Although it is only $55 it represents false advertising and violates internet selling laws and was done with full knowledge of potential post sale problems with no regard for the buyer(s).

Thanks in advance!

one in a week is enough...if he was unable to provide a replacement, then I can see how the refund would be necessary

I have sent him a Request for PayPal...I hope this goes off without a hitch.

I am still waiting for a $250 refund from a deadbeat seller last August...
