BEWARE OF SSAUTOCHROME. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED. WOULD NOT REMEDY THEIR MISTAKE WHEN THEY SENT ME THE WRONG PEDALS. I REQUESTED CHROME PEDALS BUT INSTEAD THEY SENT ME THE ALUMINUM PEDALS, THE ONES THAT WERE OVERSTOCK. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME RMA # AFTER REPEATED REQUESTS.

 

I didn't check the last GD where awsker asked me to send him the paypal confirmation that indicated i wanted the chrome ones. i just e-mailed him the info, hopefully he can reach ssautochrome's elusive customer service. I'll keep you guys posted on this.

 

After talking to my contact at SSAUTOCHROME we came to an understanding that both of you are not at fault since they screwed up. They will be resolving your problem as well as oldmanmax's. Shipping charges will be refunded. The problem would have been solved earlier but I was not able to post on the org for about 2 weeks.

Thanks for trying to help us because I couldn't get through to them that they need to pay for shipping if they send the wrong pedals. I got your email so I am waiting to see whether SSAutochrome is going to refund my shipping charges and see if they send the right pedals this time. I applause you for putting together the GD but we need to let the vendors know that there are a lot of maxima owners on this board and words would get out if they don't give good customer service.

I'll update you if I get my pedals and my refund...

I totally agree with you. I let them know this exact point and they agreed to waive the OBX policies for the GD participants. It's unfortunate that you went thru all the hassle but I'm glad at this point that it will be resolved.

They are being shipped from NC.

I'll have to find sift thru the old GD to get the pics. I'll post once I find them.

I kinda wanted brushed aluminum, but I'll try um, the color does look cool. Especially for 22 bucks, I drink that a way in a matter of minutes in a bar anyway.

I also dug up some other pics. (apparently I'm more impatient than I am lazy) The pedals are auto, but it gives a good Idea of the color.

These pedals clip on to your existing pedals.

 

How durable is this clip? Will it shake or come off?

 

It's a screwable clip (if that makes sense) There is a clip on all 4 corners. You can tighten it by tigheting the screw.
