I didn't notice one yet, but I have a habit of deleting useful mail intermingled in SPAM.

ALERT!!! POTENTIAL FRAUD

I'm still having problems with SSAUTOCHROME with my order on the last GD. They sent me the wrong pedals and I had to send it back with my own money ($24 for the pedals and $6.87 for the return shipping). They received the wrong pedals on 05/23. Awsker sent me an email on 05/28 when this GD started to let me know that he spoke with SSAUTOCHROME and they shipped my automatic pedals on that day. Well, today is 06/04 and no pedals. I sent both SSAUTOCHROME and Awsker two seperate e-mails asking for status and/or tracking number. No reply from anybody.

So I paypaled SSAUTOCHROME on 05/03 $24 for the automatic pedals and then paid $6.87 on 05/19 to return the wrong pedals. I'm out $30.87 and no pedals. Worse yet, it's more than 30 days so paypal won't investigate the FRAUD...

So Awsker, speak up and defend yourself. Let the people know if they should trust SSAUTOCHROME. Do the right thing and fix my problem.

Hey Oldmanmax,

It sucks that you had to go thru this crap with SSAUTOCHROME but unfortunately I do not have control on what is shipped being that I'm not the vendor. I have been in contact with the vendor to correct the problem and because I've been working 10hr days lately, I haven't had the time to check my emails or check the forums frequently. I do not want anyone to get screwed on GD's I host so I've been trying to make sure problems are fixed.

I believe you received your pedals on 6/5. There have only been 2 incidents where SSAUTOCHROME has sent the wrong product and 1 incident where a damaged item was sent out. I have contacted them on all incidents and have been able to correct them.

This will be the last GD I host as I don't gain anything by hostings GD's, except get you guys a good price on a good product. I have emailed them about your refund for shipping and will contact you as soon as I hear anything.

Thanks,
Awsker

I hope Awsker will respond to your post soon.
I sent back my pedals last week, and it is supposed to get there tomorrow or monday. I've sent a request for $$ via paypal so hopefully ssautochrome will do the right thing and refund me $24 + $5.04 (s&h) once the item is received. Initially I did not want to send back the pedals but instead recoup my money by selling the item on ebay. But since awsker guaranteed in his e-mail that ssautochrome will refund my purchasing price plus s&h, I was pursuaded to send my pedals back. I am hoping that awsker is on our side instead of ssautochrome's.

I hope others do not continue to purchase from ssautochrome until they have remedied our problems.

I'm with you oldmanmax

I hope you saw my post right before you answering oldmanmax's question. I am definetly on the on the org's side. As a member, I want to make sure that I help out any member(s) that need any assistance. If this wasn't the case, I would not answer your emails or contact SSAUTOCHROME to make sure that replacements, RMA #'s, and refunds are sent out.

Again, I am sorry you guys got a crappy deal but I will make sure I do whatever I can to fix the problem even though I am not the vendor.

Got mine this weekend and took the all of 5 minutes to put them in. I was impressed with the quality. They are built very nice for a universal pedal cover. I think I might try to cover up the "Type-R" with something else though. The only other gripes I had were that the Gas and the clutch, because they both go all the way to the floor (or close for the gas), hit the screw brackets underneath the pedal. I'm a little worried that those brackets (or screws) might wear a hole in the carpet below where the clutch pedal hits since it hits the floor many times a day. At first I was a little worried about the gas depressing all the way, but it still clears. It cuts it pretty close and slightly interferes with the floor mat. Not really a problem though since you can still floor it, and it's not like I'm doing it every day. I'm glad I got the titanium gray, they look nice in my car IMO. For 22 bucks I'm very happy. I was going to take pics, but never got a chance, maybe tonight.

I finally received the refund after 2 months of coaxing ssautochrome and help from awsker on the org.
I hope your replacement pedals are on their way, oldmanmax.
I want to publicly thank awsker for helping a fellow org member out in dealing with the vendor.
oldmanmax, I filled out a form with www.ifccfbi.gov before awsker e-mailed me, and said he would help me. If ssautochrome doesn't send you the replacement, you can first request just a refund. If that still doesn't work, you can contact fbi's internet fraud division.
good luck!

I did mine..but I don't know that you are drilling through much more than padding ....my top one keeps backing out...so I think I am going to try a slightly longer screw...but it shouldn't givey you any problems...
