just thought i put my 2 cents here too.

I got home to a fair sized box, and thought that had got to be the powerslot rotors...

Opened the package and wholla!! Very nice looking rotors... 2 pairs for a total of 4 (2 front and 2 rear) all labeled with "L" and "R".

Unfortunately I don't have a digicam so I appologize for teasing those who would have wanted to see it 'cause they look better than on the website.

Oh yeah, it was shipped overnight too (shipped 10/15/03). Way to go PPS (performance parts store) you just increased my faith in your business in the nick of time....

I do still have a pondering question for those of you who are automotive experts or junkies since I'm stumped myself.... Why the heck are the rear non-ventilated discs more expensive than the massively more complex and ventilated discs up front? Same goes for brake pads, especially the raybestos quiet stops.

I just ordered my brake pads from ange today...(Hawk HPS up front and Raybestos QS for rear)... nice gal, called me right back even though I didn't leave a message cause I was going to call later. She was stumped when I asked her the same question regard raybestos and she mentioned that the rotors were like it too.

I look forward to putting them on next week cause i'll be to busy installing my jbl speakers to replace non-bose speakers today and be outa town this weekend. Plus my pads won't be in till next week anyhow.

Hey guys...

This is Jessica from PPS. I am VERY, VERY, VERY sorry for the excruciating delay in getting your rotors to you. Unacceptable, I know. Most of you had to wait weeks, and I just want to apologize.

Mike has been a good buffer here, but I want to explain that we had supply issues, and we were told *every day* that we were getting the shipment in. We were not intentionally lying or misleading anyone, we were just telling you what we were being told. We should have caught on quicker...lol.

All of you should have your orders today. We received all backorders in last night and overnighted them to everyone. If ANYONE is waiting, please either email me (jessica@perfomancepartsstore.com), PM me, or call my direct line at 800.451.7558, ext. 222. I am in and out of the office daily, but you can hit "0" and have them page me. I rarely get the chance to actually LEAVE the building...

Again, please accept my apologies for this. Anyone who purchased the Powerslot rotors from us will also be receiving a coupon for $20.00 off your next order - they will be coming in the mail in the next few days - as soon as my marketing gal can get them out. You CAN use them on GD's or anything else you may need.

Thank you for your support, and I am sorry if we inconvenienced any of you too much.

Thank you,
Jessica

Anyone have any other brake pad favorites they would recommend for a 2k2?

The difference in the brake pads from 00-02 is minimal. You just have to shave a little piece off of two of the pads. Perfect job for a dremel

Jessica decided to open the price up for .Org members. So the price is here to stay until their cost goes up.

Actually, what he's saying is true. Although you can't find the rotors by searching in just the title search mode, they are there. He bought some, and the guy that sells them has 5th gen rotors in stock. This is not a joke. You can get them drilled and slotted, or just drilled, or slotted.

I'll try to get him to post a link later.

No one's arguing that there are 5th gen rotors on E-Bay - there's just no genuine (Made in Italy) Brembo's for the 2k2/3's.

Brembo has low-end, rebadged rotors for sale - they're either made in Taiwan or China and are not true Brembo's.

Dude, Mercedes, Volks Wagon, BMW do the same thing! They have 75% of the car made in Germany, and the others are From Mexico mostly. Belive me i had a Passat (VW), and my pops has a 740I (BMW). Thats what it says on the Slip from the manufacture.

It's the same with anything is what i am trying to point out. Wether they're made in Italy or in Taiwan, they're still using the same machines Techniques, Technology and Material... So its all the same.

Dude! BMW, Mercedes, and VolksWagon all do the same thing. 75% of the car is made in germany and the rest In Mexico. Belive me my Dad has a 740i (BMW) and I had a VW Passat, both of our slips from the manufacture confirmed what i am saying. So wether the Brembo is Made in italy or in Taiwan, It's still the same product. They're still using the Same Material, Technology, Technique. So its the same brembo, just made cheaper because of labor.

Point still remains, there is no true Brembo brakes for the 2k2/3.

Tight_Whip, i know you're just looking out for good deals and all - but i really don't appreciate you calling me out and i don't want to get into another argument with you like in your last locked thread.

If people want to buy Powerslots, that's fine. If they want to buy Brembo, that's fine. People here are mature enough to figure out which one they want without you calling the organizer out for "screwing" them and ripping everyone off.

Additionally, comparing prices for different brands of products is not exactly a good argument. You could tell people to buy Brembo BBK's, but there's always the half-off SSBC BBK's available as well. They're both BBK's, both rotors, pads, etc. - Different brands, Different prices.

Automax sells brembo rotors here on the .Org as well - and even with shipping it's still cheaper than your "E-Bay" seller. Using your train of thought - why not call out the E-Bay seller as well?

By the way, No - not every manufacturer adheres to the same level of quality and use the same equipment.

You, being a car enthusiast, should know that - of all things.

I never said the non-Italian Brembo's are bad. I'm just saying they're on the lower-end of the scale in terms of price.

Has anyone installed these yet? Reviews and pics please. I am close to 40K and needing new rotors soon. I refuse to turn the stock POS ones.

Hello all!

They are still available, however, as many of you know, there will be a 2-3 week delay in shipment. Sometimes sooner, but I don't want to overpromise. We are not planning on stocking any of these rotors, so we will need pre-payment before we can order them in - those in a huge hurry can request drop-ship from Powerslot direct, which could ship as quickly as the next day (if they are available).

Hope this helps!!

They are still available, but the estimated ship time is about 2 weeks - we are not pulling in stock - it is special order only.

Thanks!
Jessica
