I am in for the non-angel eyes set. $500 should be do-able after the Christmas loot rolls in...

I will try to get Matt and Umnitza to (1) make a prototype and (2) see if they can use 9005/9006 for the hi/lo beams. It seems like that is what most people here want - correct me if I am wrong.

A prototype would be sweet, at least people would stop yapping about pics then

but why use 9005/9006?? I thought they were using h9(?) or something newer than 9005/9006

I suggested 9005/9006 because I thought that was ideal. I have no idea how H9 works but I thought that people weren't too crazy about that idea.

The price is the same as the 5th gen GD... they got 100 people easily. All we need is 50, but if we get more I'm sure we could drive the price down.

Dual Projectors

HI Ya'll,

I dont know if anyone has asked this question, but what type of projectors are going to be installed(BMW,Audii, Mercedes OEM style, or the kind of inferior projectors you see in APC projector headlights)?

How about making our 4th gen Headlights into one unit? What I mean by that is intergrate the corner blinkers into the main headlight housing, like the cifero.

Infact make the corners diamond clear, and the corner lights protrude out like the Silvia S14, or like the 03 Altima and 02 Maximas.

Then I would pay the asking price of $700.

I must have missed it or maybe my math is off but the offer I saw in the 5th Gen GD was $50 up front to secure your spot on the list and then a final payment of $180 to seal the deal; grand total = $230. Even on the Umnitza site, it is being sold for $180. You are asking for 5 or 7 bones from us 4th Gen owners depending on which flavor we want. No wonder you had 100 people signing up so easily. If this was the same deal, I'm sure that we would have broken the 5th gen response time and you would have alot more interest and serious buyers from us. So did I miss something or did you mean to say something else?

P.S. Why is there such a price difference?

This is for the whole headlight, with a dual beam projector housing set of headlamps, NOT just the angel eyes. That is why there is such a huge price difference. Projector headlamps with everything VERSUS angel eyes only.

As Ramius said, the 5th gen GD was for the angel eyes only since they already ahve dual beam projector housings for their headlights. They paid $230. We are getting it for $200 if you want to look at it that way. But you need the means first, by getting the custom dual projector headlight housing which is $500.

I will be calling Matt at Umnitza today and see if we can get this rolling. He mentioned that they have 8 projects on the go for the new year already but I want to make sure that our spot is secure since I did contact him ages ago. I hope we can get our 50 by then.

I am not manufacturing them so I can't show you pics. But Umnitza Inc. should be able to come up with something once they get started.

Hmmm. I haven't got any money right now, and I'm a little sceptical without pics. Once they're out, or at least a prototype, I might try to start saving up a bit more.

Alright, good news for you guys. Matt from Umnitza just called me and I spoke to him and mentioned some of your requests. I do understand that before making such an investment, people want pics. So what I have decided to do is get a stock headlight and corner light and send them both to him to mould a sample. He has quite a few ideas and is also looking into possible ways to cut cost depending on what their tests with the sample pieces reveal.

He mentioned quite a few things to me, some of which are as follows:

- They are currently working on BMW Z projector headlights and he suspects that a lot of those components are quite similar to our design so we should be able to get as high a quality of product.
- They have developed a new compound that they will include a tube of, with the headlight packages, that you coat the outside of your headlight with, before installation and it gives that brand new off the showroom look on the outer surface of the headlights.
- He will try to see if they can do a 1-piece design to integrate the headlights with the corner lights.
- It will be a true dual projector housing design (separate high and low beam bulbs - both in projectors)

More to come, once they get my parts and play with it. I will source the headlight since it is a more expensive part. My request to you is if anyone has a spare or cracked corner light that they have laying around, would you be willing to send it to Umnitza Inc. or myself? If not, I will locate a corner light along with the headlight.

I can be reached at anish.ghosh@rogers.com in case someone has one to offer.

Thanks for your patience and happy new year to you all!

Correct me if I am wrong but for 500 dollars the kit includes the new headlamp unit and all the HID equipment...pretty much it includes everything so I can just install them and they are operational?
