A single bi-xenon is fine, and seeing as how its been done already, its obviously not impossible to produce. I'm curious though, what existing parts are we talking about? People's existing HID kits or ..? I wouldn't mind re-using my HIDs if thats the case. Less expensive is always a plus, and the quicker the better.

no, what we're thinking of is using the bi-xenon projectors that we are knowledgeable with and putting them into the exiting housing.

This is quite unlike doing it where you put an HID bulb into the housing.

umnitza: I sent you the sample headlight and corner light, did you ever get it? Anish said that you haven't received it yet? Please confirm. The UPS shipping number confirms it was delivered.

we did receive it.
My partner is looking into it right now.

What we are talking about is putting a bi-Xenon projector WITH a DDE for about $400 ish.

For the pair.

So, we'll work some more on it

Sounds good. Not as good as a dual beam setup, but given the space constraints I didn't think a dual beam was likely.

$400 for a bixenon projector setup, particularly if the HID is included, sounds very attractive.

Any ideas yet if this will be one piece w/intergrated corner lamp, or two piece? (sounds like two piece, but we can hope!)

Either way, I am definitely still inteested.

Matt, thanks for the responses.

Too bad that we can't get a dual beam projector setup... but if that's the way it's gotta be, that might be better in some ways - cost, ease of setup... and especially for HID guys... we'll only need to buy 1 HID kit instead of 2!

As long as we get rid of the gross 9004 headlights it's all good! Keep us updated buddy!

well, you wouldn't buy 2 HIDs even with dual projectors.

No one does 2 HIDs, especially not in the high beam.

Our current project for Dual Beam is in the ProjectorZ™ market
Here's a picture:

Yeah that's true... for example, on a 9005/9006 setup, one wouldn't get 9005 HIDs... but in Canada the high beams are also DRLs. So the 9005 HIDs would give a nice daytime running light look.

In any case, that is not a factor here anymore since we are sticking with single bi-xenon projector... any idea what bulb we are using, yet? H9? Will it even fit?

I guess we'd need new wiring harnesses too?

no, if we go Bi-Xenon - it will be a stock D2S HID bulb

And the wiring harness, we've become quite good at those

Most HIDs use D2S don't they? D2S bulbs come in all formats - 9004, 9005, 9006, H3, H4, H9, etc.

Which one are you going to be incorporating here? Or am I missing something?

no, factory HIDs come with D2S or D2R - depending on whether they are in the a projector or reflector housing.

But, by and large, cars without existing HIDs require a rebased D2S bulb - aka H1, H7, H4, etc.

The base is what matters, not the bulb type per se - aka D2S or D2R.

The ones we're currently doing are H9 projectors for the Z3 - that is actual projectors with H9 pre-set into them.

However, if we do what we planned on doing (get Hella E39 Projectors) then you'll get the D2S bulb already into the pre-set projectors. No rebasing.

will these still have the angel/demon eye on it? Also would you be able to do anything like it with the fog lights? What's going on with the one piece idea.

Too bad it's not gonna be dual projectors. i just visited the Umnitza site and i must say, the Wheelpower Phosphyre Halos look AMAZING!!! I can't imagine seeing those in my rear view mirror. MOVE BISH!!!!! See what i'm talking about below.

Simply a thing of beauty. I was craving that look for our cars. If they can't be dual projectors, i hope they'll be one piecers.

I will probably get rid of my current kit for these but I want to see what the kit looks like after a few people install them and give a review.

I'm not sure what kind of a time-frame Umnitza is working with, so I am leaving the two summer guys out of the list above. I made the list above for people who said that they are interested as soon as the lights are made available. But here's the two guys, in case this project does not wrap up until the summer:
